How do you keep consistency when creating AI videos?

by•

Hey Product Hunt community đź‘‹

I’ve been experimenting with different AI video tools recently, and one challenge keeps coming up again and again:

keeping characters, style, and story consistent across scenes.

Most tools seem to optimize for generating individual images or clips really well —

but once you try to turn that into a full video, things start to break:

  • characters subtly change

  • styles drift

  • voices don’t match

  • and you end up re-prompting everything manually

I’m curious how others here deal with this today.

  • Do you rely on prompt templates?

  • External docs or style guides?

  • Manual editing after generation?

  • Or is inconsistency just something you accept?

Personally, I’ve been exploring a “shared context” approach where story, characters, and style are defined once and reused — but I’m not convinced this is the best solution yet.

Would love to hear how other makers and creators are approaching this problem 🙏
