Do "stealth startups" make sense?
by•
I’ve seen this come about recently & I still never really understood the idea of a “stealth startup.”
How do you make noise?
You need users, you need traction, you need feedback: how do you get that without showing people what you’re working on? I get that secrecy has its perks, but how do you market a ghost. Personally, I lean more toward building in public, even if it’s messy: at least people see the journey and can hop on.
Curious though. anyone here actually pulled off stealth successfully?
I could literally just be uninformed, is there a long-term play I’m missing?

I think there is a benefit to this, I would also like to know what it is. Hidden launches can be more for testing the product first, and then release. Or release the product to a certain number of clients who received invitations in advance. What do you think?
