An open-source agentic framework for e-commerce - Enthusiast

by•

Hey everyone 👋

Greetings from Berlin!

I'm building Enthusiast (https://github.com/upsidelab/enthusiast), an open-source AI framework built to handle internal search, product queries, and support automation for for e-commerce and knowledge-heavy industries.

Here's what's possible with the platform:

  • AI shopping assistants tailored to your catalog, logic, and APIs

  • Support copilots grounded in internal knowledge

  • Sales tools that pull specs, pricing, and past context — on demand

  • Built-in content generation + validation

  • All self-hostable, with prebuilt integrations for Shopify, Shopware, Medusa, Solidus, and more

We built this after receiving repeating requests from our clients. Shopify is working on the direction too. If this is relevant for you, I would love to exchange with you.

Hi Chris Zhang,

I came across your post about Enthusiast here and wanted to reach out. Your framework looks impressive - the combination of AI-powered search, support automation, and e-commerce integrations addresses real pain points I've seen in the industry.

I recently have a PR(Pull request) to the Enthusiast documentation after working through the setup process and identifying areas that could help new contributors get started more efficiently. It's clear you've built something valuable that fills a genuine market need.

I'm a software engineer and technical writer, and I'm interested in learning more about how you approach community building and project promotion for open source AI tools. Would you be open to connecting on LinkedIn? I'd love to exchange ideas about spreading awareness for projects like Enthusiast, especially given the growing interest in self-hosted AI solutions.

Thanks for building and sharing this project - the open source AI ecosystem benefits from tools that prioritize developer control and customization.

Best regards,

Nelson
