The hardest part of sales training isn't knowing the right answers - it's staying composed when a prospect says something you didn't anticipate. Does Tough Tongue throw real curveballs mid-conversation, or are scenarios mostly scripted paths? The live dynamic is what would make this genuinely different from a glorified roleplay script. Congrats on the launch - the "during the call" live support angle is the piece I haven't seen anyone nail cleanly yet.

Congrats on the launch! 🚀

I like the focus on supporting the salesperson instead of replacing them.

I'm curious: after enough calls, can Tough Tongue automatically identify recurring objections or missing product knowledge across the entire team and recommend updates to the shared sales playbook? That seems like it could be a powerful feedback loop.

yes, this is exactly the feedback/self-improving loop we have designed.

We keep noting what objections keep coming up, where reps are getting stuck, what product knowledge is missing, which competitors are appearing more often, where demos are losing momentum, and what should be updated in the playbook.

Agent then surface patterns and recommended updates, and then the team/customer approves what actually becomes part of the shared sales motion.

Truely feeding facts live is the part I'd stress about. In a call there's no time to fact-check, so if it surfaces something wrong or out of date, the rep says it as truth and then has to honour it. How do you stop that, and does the rep see how confident it is?

yes, this is exactly the kind of risk we are paying a lot of attention to.

There are two things we try to make very explicit in the product.

  • First, we believe the agent should be user-configured. You control how talkative or quiet it should be. I have spoken to GTM enablement teams who want it to be extremely restrained: if a pricing question comes up, show only three crisp pointers and nothing else. Others want a much more active assistant that gives more context and suggestions. That should be configured by the user/team, not decided by us as the vendor.

  • Second, the agent can pull data live from CRM, docs, tickets, or other connected tools, so it can behave more like an assistant during the meeting. If someone needs a specific customer detail, pricing rule, or past interaction, it can search for that and bring it up in the background, instead of guessing from memory.

This is still an area where we are doing a lot of customer conversations and learning. Would love to chat offline if you’re open to it.

Congrats on the launch! This is a really interesting product, but I am curious about when people do a real interview, the interviewer can read more than words, like voice confidence, eye contact, and facial expression. Can this product consider these? How do you measure that?
