Love the idea, but this app made Opera think I wasn’t connected to the internet
Artem Pryadkin
@barnabybones Thanks, Jeremy! Do you use Opera with VPN enabled? If yes, please try disabling VPN and refreshing the page with StopAd enabled. As for now, we're fixing the Opera VPN conflicts. If it's not that case please let us know via Improve StopAd button. Thank you in advance!
Jeremy Bauer
@artem_pryadkin Ope, I sure did have Opera VPN enabled. Thanks for the help and clarification!

I like the idea but I don't really see the benefit of blocking ads on desktop apps. Would love to see a mobile app tho!
Vladimir Sytnikov
@lorikarikari You can try it right away. We have top-notch apps for Android (blocks ads in apps) and iOs (blocks ads in Safari browser). Just visit stopad.io and install version for you.

Would love to try it but I can't get past the "allow developer" part, nothing happens when I click allow. Is this a known issue?
Vladimir  Shmalko
@jeffreydgroot After click “Allow” button you just should click “Next” on the previous screen.
Jeffrey de Groot
@vladimir_shmalko yes but nothing happens when I click allow, so it won't confirm and I can't continue
Vladimir  Shmalko
@jeffreydgroot Could you please close Security Preferences window and open it again, if “Allow” button still there just try to click again, if it disappeared - restart application and continue.
Jeffrey de Groot
@vladimir_shmalko Doesn't work :(
