Songlio - The ultimate online music guessing game

Click the "Join open game" in the yellow banner at the top of the page 👆 Hi ProductHunt! 👋 We're so excited to be launching Songl.io today! 🎉 At my startup, Encore, we've built one of world's largest marketplaces for booking musicians to perform at events and weddings...so 2020 wasn't a great year for us! 😷 We decided to host a hackathon in October where members of the team could build whatever they liked (provided it was musical) and Songlio is the game that my hackathon team built. ⚒️ During lockdown, my flatmates and I would quiz each other's music knowledge by playing a very short sample of a song and asking everyone else to guess it. We'd often do this for an hour at a time after dinner, and it was a lot of fun, so I decided it could make a fun online game... We built the first version of Songlio in a day, and it was extremely fun from the moment we played our first game! 😁 The game is multiplayer, which means it's been spreading organically and rapidly without any paid marketing or pushing from us as a team. Since October, over 4000 players have played over 1500 games across 48 different countries! 🤯 We'll be hosting a massive LIVE game throughout the day for the PH community. It kicks off at 12pm GMT (7am ET) and will continue throughout the day. We'd love to hear what you think, and if you have any questions or feedback, please let us know in the comments! I am a songlio addict. I have a group of friends who I play songlio with regularly and we are all addicted. It's kind of nice we're all in the same boat I guess. We have songlio-based inside jokes, we have a whatsapp group, we have gifs, we have brainstorms to come up with new rounds - we've used it for team socials, family get-togethers and even gotten one of the group's Mum's badminton club using it. It's one of the best things to come out of lockdown!

I had the pleasure of testing out earlier versions of the game, and it was clear this was going to be a brilliant one. I was in stitches watching some of the answers my family gave, or, inevitably, the typos littering the screen as I raced my brothers to try and get the quickest answer. I can't imagine there are many people out there who won't absolutely love this game!

We've been playing this game as a company since a few members of the team built it during a hackathon back in October, and it's still going strong! Extremely addictive and a great activity for our team socials / end-of-week drinks. 🍻
