Is this the same as the backlink checker in the Powersuite Aleh?

Both yes and no! :) This backlink checker's powered by the same backlink index as SEO SpyGlass in the PowerSuite toolkit, but on the other hand it's a different web-based app that you can access from anywhere (and which provides much more backlink data at $0, compared to the free version of SEO SpyGlass).
