Great insurance. I've been using Safety Wing for over 2 years now and it's perfect for the Nomad. Pro - simplicity, ease and good coverage. Con - renewing can be annoying, wish I didn't have to re-put in details so often.

I've had coverage with SafetyWing for over 20 months over the past two years as a digital nomad. Their website and policy is clear and straightforward and their recently I needed to contact their customer service via the website, and I was answered immediately. I was also very glad to be covered by SafetyWing back in March 2020 when Covid-19 started causing lockdowns all over the world as I was in Malaysia just as they began locking down. Safetywing were very transparent and sent everyone covered emails regarding coverage for emergency flights and the deadlines to book and to make claims. This made life incredibly easy as SafetyWing ended up fully reimbursing my emergency flight out of Malaysia (although it did take around 3 months, but I could see the status of the claim at any time). The claims process was similar to that of any other insurance company. All in all, I have a very positive experience!

Very simple and easy-to-get, covers my needs as a nomad perfectly, would recommend to anyone who’s on the road long term. I got SafetyWing because I wasn’t sure for how long I would be traveling and I never regretted my choice.

I've been using SafetyWing for the past 3 years and I can highly recommend it. They have great customer service, provide great value for their monthly price and are really experienced in handling challenging situations of their customers.

I admire Safety Wing's mission and have paid for coverage continuously for three years so far, with no claims. In mid-2020, an especially extraordinary time for all, I waited nearly five months for a reply to a straightforward question emailed to Tokio Marine, the insurer. That delay is forgiven, given the circumstances. I look forward to continuous improvement in Safety Wing's and Tokio Marine / Worldtrips' product and service.

I used Safety Wing for the whole of 2020 and most of 2021 while in Thailand and Vietnam. They were very good, and all hospital visits and procedures were in time fully paid for. I will use again on my next journeys!

As a digital nomad traveling the world for almost 5 years now, Safety Wing has been my companion for almost the entire time since another traveler recommended them. While living long term in places I don't really need the benefits and perks a traditional travel insurance offers, plus most of the time they are hard to get benefits or unnecessary frills. Instead, I need to be covered for medical emergencies and expensive procedures, should they be needed abroad. I don't mind paying for a regular doctor consultation, but if I broke a leg I need to be sure I'll have a room and someone taking care of me, and the potentially high expenses covered. Safety Wing covers exactly that, at an affordable monthly rate. Personally, I used them while in Costa Rica to cover a 200$ procedure to unlock a blocked ear. They connected themselves with the Doctor and I had to pay nothing. After that, Covid broke in and they offered to pay the evacuation flight back to Argentina, which would have cost me around $2000 if I didn't have insurance. I didn't take it, but the offer was solid and it was there for me to use. Finally, the customer service is amazing and they respond quickly through the web interface.

Nice looking website but they make as complicated as possible to file a medical claim. Do not recommend.
