Safety Wing - Global health insurance for digital nomads

It’s such a great deal and it is perfect for digital nomads like me. it also covers my two year old son until he’s 10 years old which is awesome. honestly, it’s the best insurance I’ve ever had. and the customer support team gets back to you really quickly. I've been using this insurance for over two years. Actually I've never had to file a claim, which is a good thing! But it seems reliable, simple, and relatively comprehensive. I recommend it for expats and long-term travelers.

I've been using SafetyWing for years and have had nothing but good experiences with them. The biggest thing was that they came through when I needed them most: I was hospitalized with dengue fever in Bali and the hospital bill came to $4000, all covered by my SafetyWing insurance policy :-)

My go-to travel insurance. Only had to use it once in over 3 years of use ;) but was a breeze during the COVID pandemic. Very quick response from support which was super helpful as dealing with the insurance companies can be a pain.

I used Safety Wing for the last four years...even through the pandemic. It delivered quality affordable care EVERY SINGLE TIME. Right when the pandemic hit, I was stuck in Malaysia and needed emergency gallbladder surgery. Safety Wing covered 100% of the surgery and pre-opt appointments. I feel better covered medically via Safety Wing than with the ridiculously priced daily health care in the United States. I recommend it every chance I get!

While I've (luckily) never had the chance to file any claims, I've been insured with SafetyWing for the past two years of full time travels, ever since I found out that WorldNomads and other travel insurance companies require you to have a "fixed residence" somewhere in the world, which you will need to prove at claim time with a utility bill in your name. As a full time nomad, I do not pay for or own any apartment which would be considered a "fixed residence", and my trips can exceed 10 months at a time. SafetyWing is pretty much the only insurance company that answers these requirements. Thanks for creating an awesome insurance product!

I've been subscribed to Safety Wing for over 2 years. As a traveler and surfer I got my fair share of incidents throughout this period and these guys have been very helpful and quick to respond and act! Compared to other travel insurances they have very specific offers that cover what you really need, instead of including unnecessary items in your coverage which in turns makes your bill bubble up. A bunch of other super convenient stuff comes with Safety Wings, e.g. you are covered also when you go back "home" when other insurances just void your policy the moment you step foot in your country; you can subscribe from wherever you are and turn it on and off whenever you want. I own a surf resort and I've been advising Safety Wings to most of my guests whom have been struggling with their insurances or they never thought they need one.
