Safety Wing - Global health insurance for digital nomads

Our first product is a travel medical insurance made for digital nomads. It's $37 / month. (4 weeks) for worldwide coverage ($30 add-on for US, since US healthcare is much more expensive.) Only works when you’re outside your home-country (although there is 30 days home country coverage every 3 months so you can visit home, 15 for U.S. residents). Covers hospital, doctor, prescription, etc.

I've been using SafetyWing ever since becoming a digital nomad. Affordable, good coverage and excellent customer service. I had a claim with them last year during the pandemic and they handled it exceptionally. I recommend SafetyWing to all my nomad friends — nothing beats it.

I've been with SafetyWing for 2 and a half years! Had a claim with them and they were excellent. The coverage they provide for digital nomads is really good especially considering the value/price point. I won't buy insurance anywhere else. :) A happy customer who can't recommend them enough.

Safety Wing is seriously a life saver. I'm a full time traveller, and I've been using safety wing for almost 2 years now and I've never had an issue. It's so well priced, it covers pretty much everything that needs to be covered and on top of that their customer service is amazing. Everyone is always super helpful and respond right away. It's also a really cool and innovative company. It's actually fun to be apart of it. I highly recommend this company, I'm so glad I found it :)

I've been a remote worker for an international non-profit for 8 years and I've tried many different travel insurance companies before I found Safety Wing. For me it's the best. Easiest to use, I love the monthly option, and the communication so far has been great. I also love their mission. I've shared Safety Wing with members of my team who also travel a lot or live abroad and they use it as well.

I have been using safety wing for 3 years. Sadly I have had to claim twice. Once for a stolen phone and another for a broken foot- medical bills. The process was fairly straightforward considering I’ve not been with an insurance company before. I’d highly recommend them as traveller/backpacker or digital nomad. They also have a live chat in which someone will get back to you in your time if need pretty quickly. I’d like to say thanks to them for making my adventure a reality.

Having had issues with insurance in the past, mainly due to not being able to purchase reliable insurance outside of my own country, Safetywing seemed like a fantastic product. I have been using the Nomad insurance for over two years now and it puts my mind at ease knowing I have this type of emergency coverage. It's also great because it will cover you in some places on a motorbike if you have a valid license. Luckily, I haven't had to use it myself yet but I have had two friends, one in Nepal and one in Vietnam who both used to product and managed to get their rather difficult situations dealt with. The interface is extremely smooth and the sign up process is simple, reassuring and clear. Highly recommended for those who move around a lot for work.

I started using SafetyWing about 12 months ago and appreciated their customer service for answering questions. I haven't yet needed to do any insurance claims yet, so not sure how smooth their process may be. I do like that they cover COVID and quarantine in their plans now.

Personally had a pretty good experience. SafetyWing just makes everything straightforward and clear. It makes signing up and managing your insurance modern and user friendly as everything should be in 2021. The underlying insurance (Tokio Marine HCC) has been a bit more bureaucratic but they've always responded to my emails and helped me pursue my claims without issue. Had a personal liability claim that was handled without any issue or questioning so definitely happy I was insured. Only once did I have an issue with a travel/delay claim, but that was because I wasn't aware of what could be claimed and what not. That would an "improvement" point, translate specific insurance lingo into specific use cases. I knew I had some "insurance" against a flight delay, but I did not know to what costs would be covered and what wouldn't.

Safetywing feels like the future of insurance. It’s amazing to have all the bases covered for digital nomads like myself with one low monthly fee. Their CS is excellent too. I’ve fortunately not had to file a claim yet, but I believe it will be handled fairly and quickly.
