We built rankedin around the idea that your career data should help you make decisions, not just document the past.

We initially thought rankedin was mainly for people actively looking for a job.

That is still an important group. But we have found the same uncertainty across very different situations:

• Someone seeking a first internship

• A professional returning to work

• A mid-career leader considering a change

• Someone who wants to stay relevant as AI changes their field

• A person doing well, but unsure what to build toward next

People respond to uncertainty by doing more:

More applications. More courses. More networking. More profile edits.

Sometimes that is useful. But sometimes it simply creates motion without direction.

A better starting point may be to pause and ask:

AI can give generic answers to almost any career question.

But good advice should reflect more than a job title or a r sum . It should understand the pattern of someone s professional history: their experience, network, strengths, gaps, goals, and the direction they want to take.
