We just made our biggest update to Collections thus far. Great update.. But the Follow feature is not actually working? I followed a collection and then I'm not able to see that in my profile. It should be under Collections named "Saved Collections" right? or am I missing something? Saving Collections is mainly to get all related products when we need them. I save a useful collection today and may be I need those after 5 months. How its working now? ~Surjith

Great to see your focus on collections, and in general, improvements to make "being hunted" more than a 1-day traffic booster for new products. Many blogposts focus on the "PH effect" on launch day, but what we really want when sharing a product with the world is to make it accessible for everyone, even those who don't check the site daily. So yeah, collections are the first thing that come to mind when I think about that. And as someone who often browses PH, I like the idea that I'll get tailored notifications for products that enter the collections I'll follow. Cheers to the team 🙌

Thanks, ! And you're spot on. There's a long tail of awesome products, games, and books. This is one step toward making those more discoverable. Would love to hear your thoughts on what else we could/should do. 😊
Completely agree. Being able to follow and get notified for specific collections will be excellent.

genius! Followed! Next up, we'd like to embed collections within the discussion of products. For example, when you add to your collection, a note will be added to the Catlateral Damage thread to make that collection more discoverable.
Looks great, well done 👌 In my opinion, Collections should be under each category in the navigation (Collections for Tech, Collections for Books, etc) and not as a separate section (same for Live).

Yes good point - we will see what we can do For now you could filter the collection overview for categories - eg
No, I mean that it should be in the following order: Tech -> Collections (only Tech), and not: Collections -> Tech/Games/etc.
Hey Andreas, two more points :) 1. It's a bit weird that I can follow a collection that I created. 2. It's unclear how to delete an item from the collection (icons and call-to-actions almost the same as if you add an item to a collection), and the feedback after you remove an item is unclear as well (after you remove an item, it still appears in the collection until you reload the page). cc

All the features I ever needed on Product Hunt, great job loving it!
This is a great step forward. I'd love to be able to bookmark collections, or "collect collections" to search and view later. Maybe add tags. I found it a bit unfriendly in trying to use the new "following" collection...it really didn't create any action after I had followed...so if it took me to my profile and showed me my "followed collections" and prompted me to find or add more, I think taht would be helpful. I'd like to come back over time and remedy that burnig question of "what was that app I saw that one time... that I could use now...but dont remeber...and now have to search on google and PH and everyhwere else... and ask friends...and never really find what I was looking for but find some alternate version?"
