Have you ever pivoted your business / idea? 💡

by•

Tons of great products that we know and use everyday are the result of pivots. You know, sometimes the original idea just isn't working and you have to find a new niche and quick, other times you stumble on a use case that changes the whole game.

Have you ever pivoted? What's the story behind it? How successful was the pivot? I'd love to hear your stories, and potentially feature them in our newsletters!

We actually started out as a straightforward digital signature tool, but over time we realized there’s a much bigger need for smarter document management. So lately we’ve been shifting our focus toward building a full document management system, with AI-powered contracts that can be tailored to different needs. Funny enough, what used to be our main product, digital signatures, is now just one part of a bigger picture. If you’re curious, you can check out what we’re working on at www.flowsign.com.

Oh yes... we went from building an AI-powered feedback repository, to now building a Chrome Extension to help write better prompts (Pretty Prompt). Basically Grammarly, for prompting.

My biggest learning: simplicity wins.

I wrote a full article about it here.

I hope it helps, and give Pretty a try!

@aaronoleary I think pivot is part of the development path of a company. @jan_slovacek explained more than well, the best approach is to talk with potential customers.
