I've been searching for the perfect OS X email client for years: Mail.app, Mailplane, Sparrow, Airmail, Mailbox, Mail Pilot, Postboxโ€”I've tried them all. I've been using Polymail for a few days now and I can tell you that their Alpha is already running circles around most of these other apps. It's fast, elegant, has snooze/reschedule function (which I can't live without since Mailbox), and some really cool new features like contact profiles/relationship history, email tracking, and send/read later. The developers are super responsive and pushing new versions on a weekly basis, and from what I hear an iOS client is on the way. In fact, I was so impressed that I made Polymail my default OS X email client within the first couple of hours of using it. Give it a shot!

I've tried several email clients over time, but I could never find anything that could pull me away from my workflow with Gmails web interface. I originally saw Polymail mentioned on Designer News so I reached out to be included in the alpha. Simply put, I love it. I'm blown away with how simple and fast it is. I haven't gone back to gmails web interface since launching Polymail. My favorite feature by far is email tracking. It's become a crucial tool for me over the last week that I don't think I'd want to give it up. It's extremely helpful when you're working with a group of people. The team has been very active and personal with asking one-on-one how our experiences have been thus far. I can't wait to see how Polymail evolves.

Ever since being a Bruin Entrepreneurs co-founder with @foolywk & @shahan312 since their UCLA days, I knew these guys were bound to make something great. Been using @PolymailApp for over a month now and it has been nothing short of spectacular. I know this team along with @bshins have fine-tuned this product since the beginning, always putting the user first. Every time I noticed issues or wanted new features the turn around time was great, and I know with their hard work, passion and dedication this is going to be a disruptive and fast-evolving product. Nowadays with Polymail, I can't even remember the last time I went to check my Gmail. Keep up the great work! Highly recommended.

@nishil92 Thanks Nish! Polymail would not be Polymail without you! ๐Ÿค˜

I recently gave Polymail another try and it's indispensable now. Fast mailbox switching and read receipts are the killer features for me.

Love Polymail for the Mac, but the iOS app doesn't do it for me. When I'm on my phone, Inbox is my go-to.

Pros:

Shortcuts, beautiful design, and most importantly - read receipts!

Cons:

Occasionally buggy.

I lot of these clients are missing x-callback-url for integrating with Siri Shortcuts, etc ๐Ÿ˜ž

Loving PolyMail so far. Doing a test run with my primary work email and it has been a great desktop client. The intelligent, sorted-by-user panels make finding relevant conversations a breeze and the tracking feature is so seamless and well done. After a few days I can say I already like it enough to ditch Airmail.
Brandon Shin
@jarrettabello Thanks Jarrett! We'll make sure we stay your default ๐Ÿ™Œ

No doubt the current front runner for the best email product out there on Mac, and from the trajectory it's going in, on iOS when it comes out. I've been using the alpha for just a day but it's everything you wish email looked like in 2015. When did we get to the point when we stopped innovating on email, when things like send later and email tracking have to be extensions you use that are hacky extensions on top of Gmail? The team has been moving fast, which has been great. I worry, though, that the iOS version will be difficult, because iOS in general is extremely difficult, plus email apps on iOS seem immensely hard to build. Still, extremely promising, and it looks to me to be the only modern email client for Mac out there.

@markbao Thanks Mark! We're a big fan of working with iOS and UIKit, & excited to show you what we've got!

@foolywk Congratulations on the launch! Are there any plans to expand this into a hybrid email/CRM client? I see the Rapportive-like profile card on the right side of the product screenshot, and I think people are finally starting to realize that email is one of the most important (if not the most important) follow up tools out there for managing your network (both personal and professional). I would LOVE to see some sort of contact management system integrated, with follow-ups and to-dos expanded in the profile card. Just some food for thought as you think about world domination :D Would love an invite when you get a chance.
