How will you pull people away from WhatsApp?
Congratulations on the launch 🙌
@chetan_natesh Thank you, but we are not even trying to do that. As WhatsApp is primarily in messaging sector. We are gonna position as a status app, like a live blogging (ephemeral) platform.

@vsnthv So snap without the clutter basically (and without the ads!)
Love the idea! Shouldn’t there be timestamps next to the posts though? Or do they only stay up for 24h or something?
What I’d like to see:
• Mobile app! (already on the roadmap)
• Dark mode
• User avatars (so I can quickly tell my friends apart)
• Optional feature: show which city I am in, automatically (great for knowing if someone is traveling at the moment)
@anna_0x We do show the timestamp, you can click on the username to get those details. The status does not disappear unless you set a new status.

@vsnthv I meant in the list, without having to click on a username. So we can quickly tell at a glance from when each status is. Also, are the status is sorted by time? I would expect the most recently updated ones to be on top.
@anna_0x I understand. The reason I choose to hide it in the list is, the list is supposed to be what others are doing right now, so the time is less relevant in the ideal case. But I understand that practically it is not that everyone updates their status right away, but that's the reason I have the option to see the updated time in the pop over. I hear you, let me see if I can find a better way handle this.
Yes, the statuses are sorted by time, with the most recent one at the top.

@vsnthv makes sense. Considering the ideal scenario is always unlikely, you could add an option in “show timestamps” on/off in the settings~
@varunrazora Hi, We don't store your history, so only your current status will be stored and visible to everyone. Also, Twitter has moved away from being a status app a long time ago. it is more of a news platform now.
