Just tested Ahey and landed straight into a video call without much context — felt interesting but I wasn’t sure what the use case was (team meetings? casual chats? something else?).
A quick onboarding message or short intro would help a lot for first-time users to know what to do and how to get the most out of it.
Rooting for your progress — the concept definitely has potential!
Happy to share more insights if you're collecting feedback from early users.
I test early products often — feel free to reach out if you're gathering feedback or want detailed notes.
I'm not planning to add any monetization to Ahey at the moment. If you enjoy using the app, you're welcome to sponsor it on GitHub. http://github.com/vasanthv/ahey

This feels like video calling distilled to its purest form no sign-ups, no downloads, no hurdles. Instant peer-to-peer, embeddable anywhere? That’s a UX dream for devs and users alike.

Hello! I think many can use this! Just a heads up: when you start screen sharing, the image gets flipped horizontally.

Tried spinning up a room on Ahey, wild how fast and clean it is. No sign-ups, no fuss. Could see this being perfect for quick support calls or embedded team chat.

Wow, this is so cool! Super excited to see how easy it is to embed into any webpage without complex setup. I'm working on a project right now and can't wait to give it a try

Awesome, gives me Jitsi vibes. Open source tools are always welcome. Nice work!

@vsnthv this is brilliant.
Do you plan to add any monetization? Curious how you plan to support this project.
I'd personally be happy to pay to ensure you were able to keep it going (and not have to host it myself).
In any case, thanks for sharing this and great work.
