Peopling - Practice difficult conversations before they happen
byβ’
Most managers learn to have hard conversations by having them badly. Peopling gives you a private space to practice.AI-powered voice roleplay for the conversations that actually matter: the feedback you've been avoiding, the alignment talk you keep rescheduling, the 1:1 that's quietly going sideways.
Built by a coach who's worked with engineers and managers across Stripe, Netflix, Roblox, Headspace, and more. Less theory. More reps.

This is a good idea β esp. when you are an introvert like me and had to come up with 5 possible scenarios and answers to each of them. Now, you do not have to retain everything in your head but split parts. π introverted people know :D
As an introvert, I used to rehearse conversations in my head, this product changes that.
You donβt have to keep everything in your head anymore, just show up more confidently.
Introverts will definitely get this. π
Congrats on the launch and the product! It seems super helpful, and I really appreciate that you took what worked for you and turned it into a product for everyone to have access to it π

I love the concept, but will Peopling adapt to real-time feedback and emotions during a conversation, or is it strictly pre-scripted scenarios?
Peopling
@trydoffΒ Yes! The Agent is fully dynamic and will react to realtime conversations. The video I shared shows this dynamic conversation in action.
Peopling
@leah_dykeΒ Yes! I have these in the form of "personas." You can select from the pre-baked ones I have per scenario or you can create your own!
Isn't this the same as https://drobinin.com/apps/murmur/ that was promoted here too a few days ago ?
Peopling
@nabu_chodonosorΒ Not sure, but the more of these types of apps for people being created, the better!
The concept and use cases are excellent. How defencible is this to people simply feeding a good prompt into an LLM and get a similar result (albeit not as polished)? Is it packaging and UX, or do you have more complex app-level scaffolding?
Peopling
@ted_jordanΒ More complex app level scaffolding, but to be honest I am running a one man shop because I am not sure it will be defensible in the long term. That being said, there are already billion dollar products out there for a similar space (but with primary revenue in sales coaching). That being said, what I have built is dynamic and scalable combined with expert insight in a way that would take a lot of set up in claude/chatgpt advanced voice mode. I also run evals to make sure the agent is adhering to top line principles and leverage the state of the art voice models with emotional cues.

Congrats on the launch Kent!! This is a fantastic idea β - I've been looking for something similar to help coach me out of saying filler words in my sentences, perhaps this could be an expansion!
Peopling
@sxa011Β Hey shikeeb, thank you! I struggle with filler words as well. I'd have to think about it a bit more on how it might be a coachable experience in this app, it's definitely an interesting angle!
hey @kent_wills great concept. I actually needed something like this two days back for a negotiation call.
if this was a legit startup, I would have pitched to be a founding designer, honestly.
went through the onboarding and had tons of thoughts about making it better, so I built a quick prototype to give you an overview of what the experience could be, and what it could do for conversion.
Recorded a short Loom walking you through it:

@aadrika_singhalΒ I love the feedback! Your points are spot on. I'll take them for a spin and revamp the onboarding. Thanks for taking the time to do a deep dive!
Peopling
@aadrika_singhalΒ I've revamped the onboarding flow a bit based on your recommendation and gave you some more free sessions. Thanks so much for your suggestion and let me know if you want some better tailored built in scenarios to help with your use-cases. I've also reset your onboarding so that you can see it in action.
