👋🤩📢 Hello Product Hunt! I’m Nathan, one of the creators of No more copyright, along with @jamie_cushenan and @hicham_zaidi. First, thank you! Launching a product is always an amazing experience, but having the chance to kick off the launch on Product Hunt along with its amazing community makes it even more amazing. So what is No more copyright… 🛠️ Problem – How do you describe a picture to a robot? As makers, creators, and ideators, we often need a starting point to spark ideas. Whether you’re working on a prototype, building an app, or even creating a presentation deck, visuals are vital to telling your story. But where do you start? GenAI tools are powerful, but if you’re like us, you don’t always start with words—you start with a visual, a concept, or a muse piece to build from. That’s where No more copyright was born… 🚀 Solution – A picture’s worth a 1,000-word prompt No more copyright flips how GenAI generates images today. Instead of starting with a text prompt, you start with an existing image—doodles, storyboards, personal photos, screenshots, or whatever inspires you. Our tool takes that image and transforms it into a legally distinct and clear variation, empowering you to explore creative directions while respecting the original work. These new versions act as inspiration and references for your unique projects. 🔧 How does it works? No more copyright uses GenAI to transform any image into a unique, copyright-free version in seconds. It’s fast, simple, and perfect for creative exploration. Here’s how: 1️⃣ Upload an image: Upload any image—art, photos, or visuals you want to reimagine. 2️⃣ Let our GenAI work its magic: In seconds, our system generates a fresh, distinct version, perfect for creative inspiration. 3️⃣ Get an image breakdown: Along with the new image, you’ll receive a breakdown of its content and prompt descriptions. This helps you better understand how to describe your image and unlock further creative storytelling possibilities. 4️⃣ Use it worry-free: Continue to explore, design, and create confidently with your new image. ✨ Who is it for? Whether you’re looking for the perfect visual or just want an “image fidget spinner” to see what comes back, No more copyright gives you the freedom to explore, design, and create—effortlessly and worry-free. Anyone looking for inspiration or telling stories through visuals such as: • Designers needing a spark for their next project • Creators searching for unique visuals • Entrepreneurs trying to tell their vision in visuals, not words • And anyone curious about reimagining images in new ways 🎁 Launch deal To celebrate our Product Hunt launch, we’re offering 100% free usage for early users for a limited time! • Create as many images as you want • Save your previous results for easy access • Get detailed prompts and descriptions for each image 👉 Thank you for checking us out! We’re excited to hear how you use No more copyright to tell your stories and unlock your creativity 🚀

@jamie_cushenan @hicham_zaidi @nathantross This is such a unique approach! I'm curious, how do you ensure the generated images are truly distinct while still capturing the essence of the original? Would love to learn more about the underlying tech!
Nathan Ross
@jamie_cushenan @hicham_zaidi @tonyabracadabra Thanks for the comment Tony! I'll let @jamie_cushenan go into more detail (CTO of the project along with @hicham_zaidi giving amazing ENG power), but the main focus is on using the original asset as a roadmap for defining a better and reusable prompt. Which allows us to build further long-term with larger variations with our modeling.
Nathan Ross
@jamie_cushenan @hicham_zaidi @helen9 Thanks Helen! Appreciate the feedback and we'll aim to expand functionality post-MVP to allow for more use cases. If you have any fun with it, let us know. We'd love to see more examples to inspire us :)
Jamie Cushenan
@hicham_zaidi @nathantross @tonyabracadabra That's a fun question to answer for a programmer :) To keep the essence of the origional we use image analysis tools to write a highly detailed description of the image, this description is then simplified and has any brand/trademark references removed from the text using a custom ChatGPT model. We take this simplified brand/trademark clean description and turn it into a Flux prompt (again using the custom ChatGPT model) We ensure the images are truly distinctive by randomising a number of factors each time such as the seed Flux uses and the image analysis tool gives a slightly different description each time on purpose
Jamie Cushenan
Its great to have these kind of tools availible to us, copyright law needs to keep up

I uploaded a character picture and generated a cartoon image of children holding hands. I’m very curious about how to generate high-definition pictures with stories. Can you talk about the underlying technology? @nathantross
Nathan Ross
@alexxiang I'll let @jamie_cushenan comment as well but this is definitely a feature advancement we will aim to implement near future. To choose styles. For now you can continue to regenerate for variations. Mind sharing your image url? I'd be glad to generate a few options on top.
Nathan Ross
@alexxiang for example here is an image generated from a zoom meeting

@jamie_cushenan @nathantross Generating high quality images is great! Just curious how to achieve no copyright
Nathan Ross
@alexxiang oh yes. So our system aims to be transformative and independent from the original without being derivative. Our prompt system relies on multiple sources beyond the original as well. Based on the output the result should fit those guidelines but you absolutely can regenerate variations.
Jamie Cushenan
@nathantross @alexxiang I gave a breakdown to this question in another comment, I'm happy to go into specifics :) The AI is able to pick up on brand related visuals, if you can see a brand reference so can the AI, these brand references are removed from the anaylsed description of the image, so "harry potter" would become "a wizard" for example. If the text doesn't have any brand/trademarks then the prompt for the image generator AI wont have them either
Nika
Hey Nathan, I tried this tool and love it. I uploaded there one scene from the Simpsons and need to say that output is quite okay. Example: :DD
Nathan Ross
@busmark_w_nika this is fantastic! If you want to have even more fun, try uploading multiple image scenes, like a storyboard. Results are super fun:
Nika
@nathantross we could possibly create a movie :)
Nathan Ross
@busmark_w_nika let's do it! Ha love that idea

@busmark_w_nika @nathantross hi i just follow you, lets connect.
Ashit Vora
Congrats on the launch, @nathantross @jamie_cushenan @hicham_zaidi. Interesting tool. Just curious - in terms of legality, isn't this a grey area? For example, does the AI ensure the output is distinct enough to avoid any potential copyright concerns?
Nathan Ross
@ashitvora extremely appreciate the love! In relation to your question when you think of GenAI at all today it all is in that grey area space. This is definitely an evolving topic. I'd like to think our tool allows a jumping off point for more creativity and exploration. Which allows for bigger conversations about copyright abuse by copyright owners and non owners.
Nathan Ross
@ashitvora follow-up question. What use cases do you have in mind for usage? Would love to use those for testing scenarios.
Jamie Cushenan
@nathantross @hicham_zaidi @ashitvora It's fundamentally important to have the right to transform art, we simply automate it The AI is able to pick up on brand related visuals, if you can see a brand reference so can the AI, these brand references are removed from the anaylsed description of the image, so "harry potter" would become "a wizard" for example. If the text doesn't have any brand/trademarks then the prompt for the image generator AI wont have them either

I enjoy simple tools that deliver. This one does! And on top of that, it's free. Cheers @nathantross!

Game changer for CopyRight issues!

Himanshu Raikwar
Being a designer, it’s often hard to find good images for my projects. This tool will help by recreating or creating images similar to brand pictures, thanks!
Nathan Ross
@himanshuraikwar primary goal great to hear! I use it for unblocking me. Sometimes I have a single image in my head. This lets me build off it.
Germán Merlo
Heheh totally open to discussion mate but I feel that's the path. Probably some photographers will hate this but you'll always get haters so keep going. All the best here
Nathan Ross
@german_merlo1 appreciate the thoughts!
