How do you build trust online?
For customers, trusting a new online product or service feels riskier than ever due to more and more sophisticated scams and the generative AI ability to make something fake look real.
So how can makers create real trust?
Here are a few things we’ve learned while building NiceJourney:
A clean, reliable UI/UX: Great design and clear navigation immediately signal professionalism and care.
Visible, verified reviews: Platforms like Trustpilot or other certified sources matter.
Consistency in communication: Tone, visuals, and messaging should align everywhere. If you look and sound different in every channel, it feels suspicious.
Show the humans behind it: Faces, names, bios, and real interactions. Build a great website that includes an "about us" page that introduces the team + take care of the team's personal profiles on social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
Transparency in pricing & process: Hidden fees or vague offers kill trust. That’s why our subscription plans are simple, predictable, and explained upfront.
Each one of the above aspects can be faked. But if you improve all of them, people will start trusting you.
What is the best way to build trust online for you? Any tactics that worked especially well for your product?
