🌿 How did you welcome the first day of 2026?

Happy New Year, everyone. How did you spend the first day of 2026?

For me, the first day of a new year feels like the opening step of a long journey. So instead of rushing into productivity, I chose to begin 2026 by taking care of both my body and my inner world.

Here’s how my Day One looked:

🏃‍♀️ An early morning run, pushed myself 1km further to reach 7km
📝 Wrote down all my goals for the year, both personal and professional
🌱 Repotted my flowering plant into a new pot
🍲 Cooked a nutritious meal for myself with Stranger Things series
📖 Started reading a new book
🧹 Cleaned and reset my living space

To me, a truly productive year starts with nurturing a soul that feels whole, strong, and rich.
I’m entering 2026 with gratitude, openness, and a willingness to welcome both new opportunities and new challenges because that’s how growth happens.

So… how did you spend the first day of 2026?
Did anyone hide under a table with 12 grapes? 🍇😆

Reading this made me smile. I didn't run 7km but I gave myself rest and clarity. Your approach reminds me that growth doesn't have to be loud, sometimes it begins with calm choices and showing up gently for myself.

@balakrisnan_h Yes we still do these kinds of thing quietly everyday but we will growth and shine in one day <3

I took off from work and spent the first two days of 2026 out in nature in my country’s national parks. Checked off another high point with a 9 mile hike up to Texas’ Guadalupe Peak (alt. 8,750 ft) and then a quick walk through the beautiful Carlsbad Caverns that are also in the Guadalupe mountain range. I’m back at work today, rested and fresh for starting the new year.

@kilpatrick Wow. Going outside and walking in the nature help us recharge energy so much. I really love going for a walks.

started 2026 with a new book. began a new course on AI now, lets see how it evolved in 4 months.

Mona Truong

@hanyong_qin Love it! which AI course are you learning?

qinhanyong

@monatruong_murror programming stuff assisted by AI. a little bit hard at the beginning, but, its ok. no pains, no gains. hehe

My first day was to sit down and design a meaningful plan for 2026. Being a founder is always hard, so I want to write down all my lessons from 2025 and apply for 2026.

This really resonates.

I love the choice to start the year by arriving instead of accelerating, tending to the body, the space around you, and your inner world before asking anything more of them.

It’s easy to forget that momentum isn’t built only by doing more, but by beginning from a place that actually feels whole.

Curious. Which part of that Day One felt the most grounding for you?

Mona Truong

@signalovernoise I think that was the moment when I woke up up and started thinking about all activities I truly want to do for myself on the first day of new year. It makes me feel so excited and energized.

watched some fireworks set off by our neighbors, and back to the computer to keep working on our project at 00:05 haha

Mona Truong

@tinnix_he Luckily, you still made it in time to see the fireworks
