Was fully intending to be a buyer but for the time I'll sit this one out. No compelling reason to upgrade.

Everything in this besides the touch bar is just a spec bump. And they didn't even bump the most important specs! The SSD capacity is the same (unless you want to pay an absurd price for the 2TB option), and the RAM is still at 16GB, the same as 5 years ago. And for that they decided to increase the base price, I wonder what justification there could be for that.

@benedictslaney the base doesnt even have a touchbar

I actually appreciate what they do. If everyone just kept all ports we'd still have floppy drives (no really but still). Have to move forward and Apple is big enough to push it 💪 😊

-No innovation on their "brand new revolutionary" iPhone 7. And I won't be able to connect my headphones. (except if I buy an adapter lightning --> jack) -No innovation on their "brand new revolutionary" macbook pro (except for the shiny touchbar which I don't care for - not saying I don't like it, I just feel I won't use it more than a couple of hours). And overall, I won't be able to connect ANY of the devices I own (except if I buy an adapter for HDMI, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt, etc.) I have both an iPhone 6 & a Macbook pro. Seriously I love this brand and for the first time I feel something is really not going right. I've never thought that before but hey..I don't want to buy their products. I.don't.want.to.buy.the.latest.apple.products. Yep, strange feeling when I remember how hard I wanted what they did back then.

So.... No USB? I mean take the whole keyboard out if you want to make it thinner /s

Question is; will it charge 4 times faster if connected to 4 chargers? 🔋 😜

The Touch Bar looks awesome. I was expecting the new pros to ship with Intel's 7th Gen Kaby Lake though

I must admit, from owning a MBP since early 2013, it has almost become an extension of my body, and I for one was extremely interested to see what they had to launch yesterday. And for the most part, I was really happy. 4 ports (I was expecting 2), TouchBar which will be great for NEW professionals, finding stuff usually in menus, TouchID home button, some great coherence with iPhone/iPad. I do still have some qualms over Apple Software (Siri mainly), but my main complaint over this new MBP is the price 😫 A big bump on the 15" model from before. Can you guys justify the price?
H.Murchison
@peterjdonoghue I can't justify the price without Kaby Lake. I realize Apple can't afford to wait another 3-6 months
