Lottie has been the export format forever, but authoring always meant round-tripping through After Effects. Cutting that step out is a real unlock for teams without a motion designer. Does 2.0 handle expressions, or is it keyframes only for now?

2.0 doesn't have expression authoring yet, so only keyframes for now, but we will take this into consideration.
Congratos on the launch! I've been using LottieFiles for years, and I've genuinely been waiting for something like Creator 2.0 for a long time. Motion Copilot is porbably the feature I'm most excited about, although I wasn't able to try it yet, Im currently getting "Motion Copilot is temporarily unavailable. Please try again in a few minutes." message.
anyway, really looking forward to putting it through its paces once it's back online! Supported! Upvoted ⬆︎

i've been following lottie creator since the early days, and it's really cool to see how much it's evolved. creator 2.0 feels like a big step forward, especially making motion design more approachable without taking away the creative control.

This could finally end the export-and-pray handoff between designers and developers, which is where most animation work seems to fall apart. Motion Systems for keeping animations consistent across a brand kit sounds like the quiet killer feature here. Can Motion Copilot work on an existing animation, say restyling something already built, or does it only help when starting from scratch?

@doganakbulut Motion copilot reads the entire scene graph which means you can access some, all or none of the assets in the scene. You can begin from scratch or can direct it to use some the existing elements on the scene. Give it a whirl.
You mention wanting to automate the repetitive work while keeping creators "in the driver's seat." Was there a feature you deliberately chose not to automate because you felt it should remain a creative decision?
Kudos for the launch team, The experience of creating a lottie animation could not be so easy. Just visited the Lottie Creator and had an amazing experience. I was able to create and export an animated icon within 2 minutes. Really loved the product.😍🚀
