As the kids of teachers growing up in the European education system, both my co-founder and I were incredibly fortunate to experience widely accessible, free, quality education – and the impact it had on our lifes. It is probably to this, that we were able to find our way from Germany to the heart of Silicon Valley more than 10 years ago. So what is Learn.xyz? Think of us as “Duolingo and Wikipedia meets Gen AI”. But learning in our app is fun. Nurture your curiosities, fill your streak, and get inspired by what your friends are learning every day. Our app is like your personal study buddy, and we call her "Lumi". Today we released our app and are super excited to hear from you what you think about what we built! Love to quiz with the kids - especially when they ask questions where I don’t have an answer at hand immediately we can dive into a whole world of knowledge for both of us to learn. Love the super easy to use app!!

my 5yo is also a daily active 🙈. But I love that I am learning with him (rather than handing him the phone) - it's like reading a fun, interactive book with him. "Dad, what can we do with a Dragon Fruit", or "Dad, what is a Star-nosed mole"? - fun courses with a quiz for any of these. I cannot wait once we bring the parent/kids mode back into the product!
As someone who's super into video tutorials and ed content at Videodeck, I totally vibe with the power of accessible education. Love the mix of Duolingo, Wikipedia, and AI you've got going on with Learn.xyz! Just curious, have you thought about incorporating video learning modules? Lumi sounds like a fantastic study buddy!

thanks for the great feedback! It is something we think about but also intentionally decided against initially. Video is often not at your own pace. That's why we focus on text / slide content for now. But a mixture with more animation in slide format is probably one of the next steps! Let me know how you like it after using it a few days!
Can't wait until someone builds a version that pumps knowledge into my brain, like in the matrix.

I'll take that one. Yes, of course! Right now you can build a streak and collect points. And taking lessons is really fun already, you can share them with others, and you see when they learned something thanks to you. And a lot more coming! Download the app – looking forward to your feedback!

cannot agree more. Even people like Sam Altman are always talking about AI as a killer use case for education and learning. We think that we are exactly in that area and are just getting started.
