byβ€’
Kinopio is a visual thinking tool for new ideas and hard problems. You can use it for brainstorming, planning, mood-boards, journaling. Basically for figuring stuff out – by yourself or collaboratively.

@vladojsem thanks !

Kinopio is unlike any other tool / space on the internet. Just upgraded to the paid plan today! Using Kinopio is a joy, and I've barely gotten started. It's for being playful which I find is not possible in Notion. The behind the scenes journal posts, the pricing strategy, even the help center are super thoughtful. This is my first ever Product Hunt review (and most likely the only one I'll write). Thank you for everything @pketh ✨

@ethanbodnar Thanks Ethan, that's super encouraging!

I love the idea but I dislike the interface. * Should be able to drag around the screen and zoom in and out * Adding a link should bring in the metadata for the link (like when you share on Twitter/Facebook) * Filter should hide items, not grey them out * It's a shame you can't test upload a photo without logging in * Would be cool if it lived inside Google Docs and I could link docs * Is there a search functionality? * UI is cartoonish and the wobbling is annoying
Pirijan
@matthewfelgate that's totally cool, the world would be pretty dull if everything was for everyone. RE: - Adding a link should bring in the metadata for the link, and - Is there a search functionality Those are coming in the future. A genuine recommendation: if you like the idea but I dislike the interface you might want to check out mural, miro or plectica

I love this! Great work. One thing i've notice is that in a group of connected cards it can be hard to know which one to start reading. It would be great if it was possible to highlight one card to have it be the "starter card"
Pirijan
@filipot Hi Filip, There's a couple ways you can do that right now, 1. use a Frame to highlight the starter card, 2. add a tag label like [[start here]]

"Kinopio helps you think through your hardest problems". This opening sentence seems to sum up what this product really does. An inviting, interactive design while still incorporating the usability prerequisite. The product is functional and easy to use. It has a nice lay out and is pleasant to look at.
Pirijan
@dsarkar Thanks Debajit, I appreciate that!
