Hey hunters 👋
I've used countless platforms for my notes: some in Notion, some in Apple Notes, and since I'm a visual learner, some in Excalidraw. To simplify things, I decided to create simple-looking notes with Excalidraw built in.
- Minimalistic design
- Folders
- Excalidraw sketches
- Share notes via link
I share my side projects' progress here x.com/rita_romen
Have the best day!
@max_savonin1 Thanks, Max!
1. There's no mobile app. However, the web app is a PWA, so it can be added to the home screen to mimic an app experience. I personally added it because I like the cleaner look without browser navigation.
2. Collaboration? Not yet, but I see interest in it in the comments, so I'm considering adding it as a new feature later.
3. Integration? Not yet. I see the value in it, but I need to think it through because I want to keep it simple.
A little note about integration: Architecturally, I have a concept of "widgets." For example, Excalidraw sketches are a widget. So, I can add various features, from a calendar widget with custom features and sync with an actual calendar to any interactive element.
4. Exporting data: I have export on my to-do list for upcoming updates. Which export format would you prefer? Markdown, PDF?
Thanks a lot for your cooperation proposal! I like your suggestions! How can I contact you for further discussion?
This sounds interesting, @rita_r! How does the sharing process work? Can others collaborate on the notes too? Curious to know more about the UX design!
@star_boat I wish I had known that collaboration is in high demand! No collaboration features yet, but I like the idea and will add it in upcoming updates.
Regarding sharing, a note can be marked as "public" and accessed via a public link. Users can toggle public mode on or off and share the link.
😭My verification code was found in Spam Folder. But this sounds interesting, @rita_r! I'm intrigued by the integration of Excalidraw—do you have any specific features that you believe will improve the UX for visual learners? Also, how do you plan to handle collaboration features if more than one user wants to edit sketches? Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!
@antoine_gauthier_ Hi Antonie! Thank you!
Regarding the spam folder, yeah, I even added a little heads-up on the signup form 😢. Seems like my domain is too new. I'm working on it!
As for collaboration, interesting! I haven't heard that as a feature request yet. But just thinking: the Excalidraw package has a collaboration mode. I'll see if I can connect it to my own server.
Great initiative, @rita_r! Combining Excalidraw with note-taking sounds like a game-changer for visual learners. Can't wait to see how it evolves! 📝✨ Upvoted!
Nice work, @rita_r! I love the idea of integrating Excalidraw for visual notes—it's a game changer for makers like me. Minimalistic design is always a win! Can’t wait to check it out and see how it can enhance my note-taking. Keep up the great work!
Love the minimalist design!! I use obsidian regularly and am still overwhelmed by all it can do (so I don’t use it to its full potential 😄), so I love the simplicity of this! Congrats on the launch! 🚀
I love the idea of combining notes with sketches and mockups. It’s a unique approach that could be really useful for project planning and brainstorming.
This tool seems to make note-taking and sketching effortless. I’m curious to know about how well it handles complex drawings and notes? Otherwise Nice job on the design!
