Isn't this similar to how a current gargantuan tech company originally positioned themselves? Hmm what were they called again?

Looks good Greg! Curious if these islands are private (invite only) or public (anyone in the community can join an island)? How do you handle moderation in these islands?

Stoked to see Islands in the wild. I have been looking for a way out of instagram/facebook with have kind of become big brother these days. Does Island have ambitions to dethrone those monoliths?

Great idea! Just think its funny how many apps focus on "human" as their value prop. Most of these apps are the opposite of that; they make us live in virtual worlds, hang out in virtual chat rooms. And even if/when we meet in the real world, everyone is too busy looking at their phone to even talk :) But this beyond the point. Really love the concept.

Congrats, this looks promising! How are you seeing people using this right now? Is it more social or more school/project oriented?
