Hi, I am building RestingOwl, Open Source Security Platform

Hi, I m Tharaka from Sri Lanka. I am building RestingOwl, an open-source platform focused on making application security secure by default.

Instead of expecting developers to handle security on their own, RestingOwl provides ready-to-use packages that are easy to use and help avoid common mistakes.

We re starting by aligning with OWASP standards as the first step, and we plan to expand to other security standards over time.

Our first package, OwlAuth, will be released (on April 20th) for npm to make it easy for Node.js developers to get started, and we will continue building more security-focused packages with the community.

Day 5 of 7 - Wednesday we launch. I am freaking out!

Everything is done. Page locked. Messages pre-written. Supporter list confirmed.

And I am still nervous.

Not because I do not believe in the product. I do. But launching is the moment you stop controlling the narrative. You put something real in front of strangers and ask them to care.

PromptOT launches Wednesday April 15. If you have been following this series, showing up tomorrow means everything.

Hello Product Hunt! 👋 From code to culture—meet Nale Studios.

Hi everyone! I m the Creative Director and Developer behind Nale Studios.

We didn t want to build just another "productivity app." We wanted to build a bridge. In my journey as a developer, I noticed that people often have the talent or the cultural richness, but they lack the tools to translate that into a professional business plan, a perfect CV, or a high-end invitation that actually respects their heritage.

Nale Studios is our answer to that. We ve integrated AI into the moments that matter most:

  • The Career Leap: A CV maker that doesn t just look good it actively scans for jobs you qualify for and matches you instantly.

  • The Entrepreneur s Edge: Our Business Plan maker uses AI to crawl the web for real-time market research, so you don't have to spend weeks on spreadsheets.

  • The Cultural Connection: We ve built a collaborative design suite specifically for African, Indian, and European traditions. Custom, high-end invitations that feel like home.

  • Collaborative Creativity: Think of it as a creative hub where you can work with your team (or family) in real-time, similar to Canva but focused on deep utility.

Scientist and builder

Hi all,

I just joined the platform today, after hearing about it for a while. I am a biology research scientist by training, and I absolutely love solving problems. I recently discovered I can apply that to tech development as well, and not just figuring out why my PCR didn't work again (it's honestly voodoo, I swear). I learned how to code, and with AI growing in leaps and bounds, the playing field is getting more accessible for those of us coming from a less techy background. I've built a few small projects, mainly for myself/friends/to practice, and I'm working on a project now that I would like to launch here when it's ready.

I think coming from a scientific research perspective into the world of app development has actually been a huge plus. I'm used to the build-test-doesn't work-iterate-try again cycle, just with tubes and pipettes instead of a terminal and Railway. Perseverance is the name of the game! And it helps when you love the process, too.

Founder building human-centered AI with strategy and taste.

Founder, student, occasional artist and still unconvinced that pick one thing is the secret to a well-lived life. Feels more like a productivity hack that got out of hand.

I m building in the AI space, with a focus on making interactions feel human. As in emotionally aware, nuanced, and actually useful not just efficient and slightly unsettling. The goal is simple: create things people want to use, without the quiet side effect of turning their personal lives into a data pipeline. Low bar, surprisingly rare.

I built a parental control app that collects zero data — here's why

Hey Product Hunt!

When I became a dad. And I realized my kids had zero protection online.

So I did what every parent would do I researched every parental control app on the market. Norton Family. McAfee Safe Family. Qustodio. Bark. Net Nanny.

They all had the same problem: they protect your child by collecting their entire browsing history and storing it on their servers.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm a developer building 100% free, client-side

Hey Product Hunt! I'm a developer, after years of nervously pasting sensitive data into online formatters, I decided to build a solution SecureDevUtils: Your Privacy-First Developer Toolkit. It's a suite of daily developer tools designed with absolute privacy and speed in mind. Everything runs strictly client-side in your browser nothing touches a server, no login required, and it's 100% free. Why SecureDevUtils? Privacy First: No more worrying about your sensitive JSON, API keys, or JWTs being logged. Client-Side Execution: All processing happens directly in your browser. Blazing Fast: Built with Next.js for a smooth, responsive experience. Completely Free: Access powerful tools without any cost. Current Tools Include: JSON Formatting Secure Hashing Base64 Encoding/Decoding Regex Testing and many more.. I would love to get your honest feedback! Try it out and let me know: 1. How does the UI/UX feel for your daily workflow? 2. Did you run into any edge cases? 3. What other client-side tools would you want to see added next? Thanks for checking it out! Excited to connect with the community. Check out SecureDevUtils here: (www.securedevutils.com)
