INDX - Pinterest, but for learning

by
INDX is a focused place for self-directed learning. Easily save podcasts, articles, and videos and leverage powerful curation/community features to discover your next read or listen from a friend. We like to think of INDX like Pinterest but for learning.

Good morning Product Hunt! I’m Susie (first-time maker 😊) and I’ve been building INDX along with @malinsundberg, @cottertmc, @thenrylewis, and @tusharchhabra. We love to learn. Especially around the topics most important to our career and personal life (i.e product, marketing, health, personal finance). But, felt overwhelmed with the amount of content across podcasts, newsletters, Twitter threads, and videos. So we created INDX! 🥳 INDX is a focused place for self-directed learning. You can save the best content you come across and leverage powerful curation/community features that let you discover your next podcast or article from a friend. What makes INDX Special? —Spread knowledge. Share collections of content as a web link so that you can better share resources on a topic with friends or your colleagues. —Curate and engage in community discovery. One of the most powerful forms of content discovery is through a friend. With INDX, you can make what you are consuming public so friends can learn from the same content. —Block out the noise. Set filters on your favorite topics and formats to learn in a focused way. Our goal for INDX is to become the go-to tool for creators, operators, and investors in tech to ditch information overload and actually learn. We are in the early days of building INDX and would love feedback. Feel free to email me directly at susie@indxco.com.

@malinsundberg @cottertmc @susiestartup Cool concept. Motivated people always try to improve their learning experience. And take suggestions from friends and mentors. Would love to see Indx grow and becomes accessible on desktop and Android. Good luck with the launch

@malinsundberg @cottertmc @thenrylewis @tusharchhabra @susiestartup Incredible idea! Self-directed learning is unarguably one of the best methods of learning. The option of sharing content with others is a great way of adding to your learning experience. Will definitely be checking it out. Good luck on fine-tuning the product!
Susie
Thank you, Fares!
Susie
We 💯agree with you! Our plan is to build a web app next and then Android. We plan to continue to share progress with the community 😄
Jash Shah
I love the idea but like will this app be available on play store too?
Susie
@jash_shah8 Hi Jash, glad you also resonate with the pain point. We will eventually be multi-platform but we want to build a killer iOS experience first. Stay tuned!
Jash Shah
@susiestartup yess...i get your point. But I'll be eagerly waiting for your app to launch on play store...

This is a good idea. I am constantly emailing myself links to articles that I find on my phone but want to read/explore later. Kudos & congrats!
Susie
@dow_osage Thank you, Dow. We have the mobile app and a Chrome extension as well. we heard from our early users that they save a lot of content from their desktop and wanted to revisit on mobile. Would love to hear how the experience is for you!

Congrats on launch. I'm a firm believer that online learning is poised for a giant leap forward to transform education. Tools like this are a key part of coiling the spring for that leap. Another key piece is attaching incentives to learning like Cadoo (a startup I co-founded) does for fitness. If anyone is interested in collaborating on a Cadoo for learning, I'd love to chat with you.
Susie
@tim_parsa2 Hi Tim, yes the education system is ripe for disruption!

@susiestartup interesting idea, congrats on the launch! Unlike Pinterest, a lot of the knowledge content are usually behind paywall, will there be a way to read them without having to pay each provider? Maybe Indx has a collaboration with top content providers and then charge a subscription from the users.
Susie
That is exactly how we are thinking about it! We have started to form relationships with the creators of popular content on INDX so that INDX users can natively pay or access paywalled content.

If I am being truly honest, you had me with "Pinterest, but for learning"! Quality header. Congratulations on the launch and best of luck!
Susie
Thank you, Samuel! Would love any feedback once you’ve had a chance to play with it 🙌
