Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Scotty — beekeeper in Kentucky and the person who built this. The honest origin story: I lost a colony to Varroa pressure I probably could have caught if I'd been tracking properly. My inspection records at the time were a notebook in various states of illegibility and a lot of optimistic mental notes. I decided to actually fix the problem instead of just feeling bad about it. A year later this is what I built. It launched this week and the response from the beekeeping community has been genuinely encouraging. The two features I'm most proud of are the QR code scanning flow (scan the hive box → form opens for that hive → log inspection without removing a glove) and the voice dictation at the hive using Deepgram's Nova-2 model, which handles continuous speech and background noise well enough to be genuinely useful in an apiary.
