Three months in: everything Gigvault does today (and it is still free)
Three months after launch, here is what Gigvault is today, in one post, for everyone following it here.
The short version: Gigvault is a concert diary. You log the shows you actually went to, and it builds your history, your stats and your Concert Wrapped from that. Logging is free, unlimited, forever. No credit card, no ads, no data sold. Your history is never behind a paywall.
What is in the free tier:
Concert Tracker. Log a show in 30 seconds; artist, venue, date and the complete lineup are found automatically. Past shows can be backfilled, old ticket stubs digitised.
Full-lineup tracking. Openers, support acts and festival sets are logged as their own shows and count individually in your stats. As far as I know no other concert app does this.
Automatic setlists. After the show, every band's setlist appears by itself. For upcoming shows you get a predicted setlist from recent gigs. The database is 9.9M+ setlists.
Festival Tracker. Multi-day, stage by stage, seen vs. missed. 2026 lineups for 600+ festivals are in. A three-day weekend takes about ten minutes to log and becomes ten or twenty logged sets, and the festival shows up as its own block in your stats and Wrapped.
Concert Diary. Photos, videos, notes and a rating per show. Everything is private by default; visibility is chosen per upload.
Concert Wrapped. Rebuilt after every show, not once in December: total shows, unique bands, cities, minutes live, most-seen artist, top venue. Shareable any time. Plus stats, badges and goals.
Concert Buddies. See which friends were at the same shows across your whole history. Mutual-only, no followers, no algorithm. Feed, messages, and tagging friends on a show so it lands in their vault too.
Explore. Artist, venue, city and festival pages with upcoming shows and setlists, a setlist finder, alerts.
Platforms and languages. iOS, Android and the web app (no download needed), synced across devices. The whole app runs in 13 languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Czech, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish.
Pro is optional, $2.99/month: unlimited photo and video uploads, Music Identity (an AI-written portrait of you as a concert-goer, based on what you saw rather than what you streamed), Concert Groups with shared planning and expenses, recommendations, advanced analytics with monthly Wrapped recaps, export and backup. Photographer Pro ($4.99) is a separate plan for people who shoot shows.
Where it sits next to the others: setlist.fm stores setlists and an "I was there" mark, but no diary, no photos, no Wrapped, no lineup stats. Bandsintown and Songkick point forward to upcoming shows, not to your history. Concert Archives keeps a history but has no automatic Wrapped, no festival stage-by-stage, no mutual-only social layer. Spotify Wrapped counts what you streamed, not what you lived.
Solo-built in Germany since January 2025.
If you went to a festival this summer, I would like to know one thing: did you log it anywhere, and if not, what stopped you? That answer decides what I build next.
