What do you think are the benefits for this type of visual QR code? I'm struggling to find why this makes sense - we know that when we see a QR code, we can scan it to open a URL. If the QR code is no longer easily recognisable as a QR code, does this hurt conversions?

That's why we keep the outline of the qr clear. On the other hand, would you prefer just a black and white qr on a colorful promotional poster or a qr that matches the theme of the poster? Especially brands might have a chance to attract attention this way? Or just for fun :)
Thanks for the answer - I'd prefer a standard QR code (perhaps colour matched) so that it converts well because I'd worry that if we didn't make it look like a QR code, it wouldn't get used
