But lately it seems like there are more emerging...

I believe that when launching a product on Product Hunt, you should focus on one main feature and two supporting features that help bring the whole idea together.

When I see a new product with too many features and the whole tool feels complex, I start to lose my understanding of what it actually does.

I'm trying to get better at separating a useful request from a loud one. A feature can sound urgent in a conversation, but that doesn't tell me how many people need it or whether they'll use it after it ships.

My current approach is to look for the problem behind the request and wait until the same problem appears more than once before it reaches the roadmap. I still worry that this can make a small team too slow to notice a good idea.

What made you decide not to build a feature people kept asking for? Did the data show weak demand, or would the feature have pulled your product away from its main job?

Forget the pitch deck for a second. This is about grabbing attention fast. Share your startup in five words or less. The goal is to be clear, clever, or just bold enough to make people stop scrolling. Who knows, it could be a good marketing exercise

Requirement: be available on-site from 9 AM to 9 PM 6 days a week in the office (and I bet even Sunday would be dedicated to meeting some team members in "free time"). In addition, they were willing to hire those who would relocate to SF.

As a graphic designer, I look at products from two angles: how they look, and whether they make me understand why they exist before I lose patience.

A beautiful hero image catches attention. But that alone has never convinced me to stay.

Going through 50+ landing pages recently, I noticed a pattern in the ones that actually earned my trust:

The ones that worked answered "what does this do?" before I scrolled. Not with a tagline, but with a plain sentence a non-technical person could repeat.
The value prop wasn't clever. It named a problem I already felt, not a feature I had to imagine needing.
The next step didn't feel like a commitment. One page I almost left had a single button that said "See how it works", no email required. I stayed.
