What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly – proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude – mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma – I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator – sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail – and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts

[and soon one more that I am working on – – prevents me from being banned on LinkedIn, so I will not lose my account.]

For building AUREM:

- our actual app-builder, backend to frontend, this is

where most of the day goes

- GitHub – obvious one, but especially now for CI/automated checks

- DeepSeek + GLM (via OpenRouter) – cost-effective multi-model

routing for our internal AI chat, way cheaper than running

everything on one frontier model

- Claude – for the harder architecture/debugging problems where the

cheaper models aren't reliable enough

[and soon one more — ora-grounding, a tiny open-source library we

built after our own AI confidently told us a file existed that

didn't. Releasing it this week, MIT licensed.]

Mine are: 1. Claude/ Chatgpt - helps my research, coding, refining my results. 2. n8n - helps automate my workflow across different apps. 3. Canva - for my designs. 4. Google analytics - analyze my websites. 5. Supabase - for my database.

Got it, but you forgot forms

Most of the time, it was telegram to manage team and partnerships, figma for designs and UI. Notion for project management and posts planning. From now gonna use for management, finances, sales, invoices, social media, HR

My current 5:

  1. Claude / ChatGPT - thinking through product decisions, copy, and messy ideas

  2. Figma - making ideas visible fast

  3. Notion - docs, notes, launch checklists, random research

  4. Linear - keeping product work out of my head

  5. Superhuman / Gmail - boring but still where half of work actually happens

The pattern I notice is that the tools that stick are usually the ones that reduce context switching, not add another place to check.

My five are mostly focused on video editing and motion design:

  1. Adobe After Effects + Premiere Pro – the foundation of almost everything I create, from editing to advanced motion graphics.

  2. – saves a huge amount of time with motion text, transitions, effects and ready-to-use animation presets.

  3. – one of my favourite tools for character animation and creating smooth, flexible motion graphics inside After Effects.

  4. – I use them for AI-generated images, enhancing visuals, design assets, music and sound effects.

  5. – a subtitle generator for Indian creators. It helps transcribe videos, generate subtitles and turn them into properly styled captions without spending hours doing everything manually.

Without these tools, my workflow would be much slower—and probably a lot less creative.
