What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly – proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude – mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma – I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator – sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail – and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts

[and soon one more that I am working on – – prevents me from being banned on LinkedIn, so I will not lose my account.]

What are your five?

Best

Here’s mine.

  1. Figma - to design everything

  2. Cursor - to help me with code

  3. Vercel - deployment

  4. Proton bundle

  5. Foglio – to create and keep my documents for both work and personal

my 2:
1. - multiple agent terminal windows
2. - talking to my ai apps and ai agents,

If I had to pick 5 tools I simply couldn’t do my work without:

1. Fleck AI
A product and design thinking layer that helps validate ideas, map flows, audit UX decisions, and turn raw thinking into structured product direction and final design, before anything gets built.

2. Claude
Best for deep reasoning, long-form thinking, and working through complex product or strategic problems with nuance.

3. Gemini
Great for multimodal thinking, fast Google ecosystem integration, and exploring ideas across text, images, and research in one flow.

4. Perplexity
Fast, reliable research. Great for validating assumptions, exploring markets, and getting grounded context quickly.

5. ChatGPT
My go-to for structured thinking, writing, ideation, and turning messy thoughts into clear decisions.

  1. Cursor - for development of everything

  2. ChatGPT / Claude - brainstorming and planning things

  3. Agenda (MacOS) - organizing thoughts, plans etc.

  4. Calendar (MacOS + iPad) - planning the week and time slots

  5. Mail (Gmail + Outlook) - communications

My five as a solo founder building in public:

  1. Claude/ChatGPT – not just for code, but for thinking through decisions out loud

  2. Lovable – I shipped my entire SaaS frontend without touching a CSS file

  3. Cloudflare – DNS, Workers, Pages, all in one place I actually trust

  4. Supabase – database + auth that doesn't get in the way

  5. ReplySight (my own, so biased) – I built it because I was manually writing Google review replies for clients and it was eating my mornings

  1. Claude CoWork - development, content creation

  2. GitHub - obvious

  3. Obsidian - documenting build process, ADR's, and long term memory

  4. ChatGPT / Perplexity / Gemini - As think tank - refining ideas

  5. Workflowy - insanely useful repository for nested info

my 5:
1. Claude — basically part of my brain at this point. it's where I work through my thoughts. lately though I've been trying to write down my own take before I read its answer, because I noticed I'd started reaching for it even on things I could've worked out myself
2. Notion — the archive for everything I make. journal, projects, even my resume all live here
3. TickTick — priorities and scheduling. it's what keeps my day from falling apart
4. Spotify — the soundtrack to my whole day. focusing, working out, winding down, it's there for almost all of it
5. Apple Health — a must-have with my Apple Watch. sleep and workout tracking is how I read my own condition and stay on top of where my body actually is

#1 is the one I have the most complicated feelings about. it's incredible, but I keep catching myself quietly handing my own thinking over to it, and I'm not sure I like how easy that is.
  1. Claude/ Gemini/ ChatGPT

  2. Slack

  3. Gmail

  4. Teams

  5. Notion

  1. InShot – For handling all mobile video sequencing and audio layering.

  2. Claude – My final script editor, creative sounding board, and strategy partner.

  3. Gemini – For SEO strategy, structuring metadata, and launch mapping.

  4. ChatGPT – For rapid asset generation and visual conceptualization.

  5. Grok – For 3D visual generation and character asset consistency.

Yes, that’s my entire production studio—built and managed 100% on a single smartphone! 👦👧

  6. How did I forget Google notes.
