Through churn interviews, I learned that people quit due to issues I can’t solve.

by

I made fifteen calls with customers who have canceled their account over two months. I knew there would be missing features. What I got: four people got new jobs, three projects ended, two never really used the product, three found another product cheaper, two said they were satisfied with the product but forgot about it.

I only had one customer whose problem I could do something about as a Product Manager.

That "forgot about it" category troubles me the most. It’s not feature feedback, it’s a habit problem, and I’m not sure whether I should take care of it or whether it's the customer's responsibility.

Have you fought against forgetting and not dissatisfaction? The easy answer would be email reminders.

email reminders might helps but too many reminders could easily turn into another reason to ignor the product.

I think the three people who never really used it are worth looking into too. there might be something in the first few days that isn’t clicking for them.
