Hello, I'm Tori! -CEO CitiJo (Citizen Journalists) News App. A a cross-platform, crowdsourced news app where freelance photographers and videographers get paid for their work. As well as accept open assignments from newsrooms and other media outlets. -I love to share tips on work, life, balance for new entrepreneurs and startups.
whats your nr. 1 tip for achieving a good work-life-balance as an entrepreneur?
I use the Power of 24. There are 24-hours in a day. How will you use your time? My number one tip is to be consistent with prioritizing your tasks and personal time. Every Sunday I put together a tentative schedule for the upcoming week, which includes my goals/tasks that are a must complete for the week. Each day I take out one hour of the day for me...which is normally going to the gym or walking. But NO WORK. It's important that family and friends understand your goals and respect why you are committed to the Power of 24. Hope this tip helps!
the planning is definitely something I could improve at. I try to have 8 hours of work, 8 hours with family, including house work, exercise, reading etc and 8 hours for sleep. But also allocating one hour / day for yourself might be useful, of course not always possible with kids.
I have kids and they understand the one hour of "me time". But it does take a little time to become a familiar habit for kids.
