Launching product during a "lower-traffic" weekend? Maybe 3 things would help.
Many people who want to achieve the Product of the Day badge prefer to schedule their product for a less busy day (aka, when there is less competition), but also less site traffic and product testing.
You may lose a little promotional opportunity this way.
Of course, you can always convince people to support you.
For example:
Notify people in advance in DMs on social media that the launch is taking place on the weekend.
Ask for support from people who are also launching the product on the weekend (but not on a given competitive day, e.g. if you launch on Saturday, ask for help from people who launch on Sunday)
Go for promotion on platforms where people are definitely more online during the weekend (e.g. it doesn't have to be LinkedIn as much as X).
