How your company supports innovations in your country? (And ways to do it)
Innovation does not mean that you just label something as "AI" or "tech". It usually requires activities that train not only the users of the product, but also directly involve them in the process of general awareness.
How does your company strengthen the innovation of your country? (and now I don't just mean that you create a product) 🙂
I have in mind something like this:
- Open days, creating events where you give lectures to the general public about the latest modern achievements.
- Training for young people.
- Training/workshops/seasonal programs.
- Financial support for laboratories and various facilities that participate in development/research, etc.
Can you think of other activities that can raise the level of the state in this way?

Innovation isn’t just about building things — it’s about opening doors.
At our company, we believe the true engine of innovation is curiosity shared. That’s why we don’t just ship prototypes, we host open labs, invite students into our workshop, and treat every project as an opportunity to teach and learn.
We’ve found that when you build in public, share your tools, and demystify technology, people don’t just become users; they become makers too.
One of our favorite ways to support innovation locally?
Bring early prototypes to real people before they’re polished. It creates dialogue, sparks unexpected ideas, and lowers the bar to participation.
If innovation stays behind closed doors, it stagnates. But when you turn it into a conversation, things start to shift.

@gfrigola I'm so happy that someone mentioned buildinpublic approach, because it is a great motivating stimuli to start something :)
@busmark_w_nika Thanks, Nika! 🙌
Totally agree: sharing things before they’re “ready” can be surprisingly motivating. It creates this sense of movement and community that’s hard to get when you build behind closed doors.
Really appreciate your comment. Let’s keep the buildinpublic energy going!!!

@gfrigola Happy to see you here to be more active ;)
Great topic, Nika.
I can share what I’m doing and, accordingly, the companies that in one way or another are connected to me, since there are several things we focus on.
-we’re organizing something like a local Shark Tank for the local community, where we want companies to start out from this town. This will be an initiative with 6 teams that will be building companies over the course of one to two months, and I’ll be part of the jury. Actively involved both as a mentor and a judge.
-I participate in associations that support schools – for example, the school where I graduated.
-my co-founders at the coworking space we launched also started a program that funds talented kids from smaller towns so they can study technology at a mathematics high school (the school he graduated). That’s also a really cool initiative.
-the co-working organize hackathons and similar activities.

@byalexai I am always amazed by so many activities you are involved in. So happy I met you, Alex! You are a big inspiration for me!
@busmark_w_nika Thank you Nika! This means so much!
TBH I am doing my best. Sometimes not possible, sometimes it is. But always need people to help you if you want to help them.

@byalexai yeah, we should back each other to make it :)

Totally agree. We also need innovation storytelling, sharing success (and failure) stories so the next generation sees what’s possible.

@abod_rehman It can at least encourage :) Some presentations at universities could count too.

Companies support innovation by going beyond products, it’s about building ecosystems. Multiple companies in India have taken initiatives with the govt. support. Even OneHash was a part of some of these initiatives.
Hosting public events and workshops to spread awareness for startups, running youth programs and hackathons, sponsoring incubators and labs, launching various grants for colleges and smaller teams, partnering with universities and funding research, and even tax rebates and easier registrations for startups are being promoted right now.
These actions turn ideas into skills, prototypes, and real impact. Howevrr, I think it has not hit the perfect spot yet, all these actions need more awareness, both from the company's end and the government's end.

@sanskarix IMO, India invests quite a lot into tech support. Many people from India are shifting their careers into engineering.
@sanskarix @busmark_w_nika From the little I know about India, my understanding is that India has long been making efforts to promote tech/engineering/programming, and in many instances have (in both absolute numbers and per capita numbers) among the most number of people working in these kinds of jobs. Yet, regarding the frontier of AI and emerging tech, it seems like India is not mentioned globally. I wonder if you might have any idea why this is Sanskar, whether it might e.g. have something to do with a historically "wrong" (different) kind of focus/promotion of these sectors by government or other entities, or if something else might have contributed to this?

@sanskarix @john_wern Good question John. I hope that Sanskar have some answer to that :)

@john_wern @busmark_w_nika It sure is a good question, John.
India’s built a big tech and engineering talent pool, but global AI leadership is still catching up. With a growing population, historically, the focus has been on IT services and scale, not on breakthrough R&D deep tech.
Initiatives like incubators, startup challenges, and government grants are helping, but what’s missing is deeper investment in research. Indians sure have immense talent in tech that has been seen evidently in many startups, but we're still struggling to keep the talent in India. When local founders, labs, and policymakers all back ambitious experiments, that’s when the next leap will happen!
I'm super proud of my company.
Everyday, we help entrepreneurs with anything ranging from: "how should I protect my start-up from a vicious partnership with a multinational client?" to "who should I talk to, to raise €XXX million?"
We also host online and physical free events to educate entrepreneurs on everything legal so they can navigate the notoriously challenging EU ecosystem.
And of course, when Europe is too small for them, we help them flip to Silicon Valley.
Personally, every hour I save my clients, every "Thank you for your quick response!", "It's all good, thanks!" never fail to make my day.

@mayashaddad This is cool – is it only for french-speaking audience?
@busmark_w_nika we have customers from all over the world altho it's like ~10% max
But since our expertise is limited to the french and to a lower extent EU legal environment, we geographically tied to France
minimalist phone: creating folders
@mayashaddad Aaa, reasonably, I didn't know about this aspect. I am pretty sure you will expand over time :)
Educating people to leave only footsteps when traveling and to take with them only memories(and some videos that can be posted on the platform ofc). The youth are embracing more easier digital solutions while we still our tourism boards representatives are using brochures which have a negative effect on the planet and to be honest, are not useful at all, so we encourage them and share thoughts during events and meetings with them.

@viktorgems Happy to hear that someone is environmentally conscious ;)
We actively participate and help building local communities to help next-gen entrepreneurs grow quicker. Generally, when new start up founder start working on their products, they end up facing a ton of challenges and finding issues with small items starting from selecting the right servers, marketing channels and so on. So, active community participation helps them grow.

@bhargav5394Â what is the average age of people who are interested in these entrepreneurial activities?
@busmark_w_nika I live in a tier-2 town, yet at least 16-20 people gather around for various discussions without fail to learn new things in tech and marketing innovations.
So, I suppose for metro cities, there would be more people interested joining such events.
