How will you use the holiday break to reset or plan?
I absolutely love seeing people still launching stuff even during the holidays. In my opinion, every true founder is a workaholic (a little bit).
I’m pretty sure half of us are secretly thinking about business during Christmas.
So far:
I published some content
Managed some customer support things
Talked with people in the community
And somewhere in the back of my head, I'm thinking about wrapping up this year with some reflecting
–BUT… I’m also currently travelling abroad with a friend, so it’s full of exploration, random adventures, and not so strict fixed plans
How do you use these holidays? For work? For relaxation? What have you accomplished?

A mix of both — intentionally lighter, but not fully “off.”
I use the break to slow the pace and zoom out: reflect on what actually worked this year, what drained energy, and what’s worth doubling down on next year. No heavy execution, mostly notes, loose planning, and connecting dots.
At the same time, travel and unstructured time are part of the reset. New environments usually spark better ideas than staring at a roadmap. It’s less about doing more, and more about starting the next year with clarity and energy.

@tony_hsieh2 What is your goal for 2026?

@bekjon_ibragimov Name of the app? And the page? 👀
@busmark_w_nika Bookish Beasts, here's the page

@bekjon_ibragimov Thank you :) Was it already on PH?

@bekjon_ibragimov you can reach out to someone, maybe someone who uses Goodreads or some Reddit forums about book fandom.
@busmark_w_nika
So far during Christmas:
- I published my website
- Talked to more people on LinkedIn and got them to sign up to try the virtual version of my app
- Also, had a Zoom call to discuss bringing a new person on board (probably as a co-founder)
I think I had one of the most productive holiday breaks ever 😄😄
And thinking of wrapping the year with making preparations to launch the virtual version of the app in the first week of January (should see how it goes).

@kavyashree_s1 Nice feeling to be productive like this :D What is the business you are founding with the co-founder? :D
@busmark_w_nika It's a behavioral fintech app. Connecting emotions with savings - I mean, keep emotions as a trigger to form a micro-saving habit.
As for the co-founder part, it's still in the discussion stage. I'm not sure if I'm bringing that person on board for sure.

@kavyashree_s1 How emotions will be tracked?
@busmark_w_nika There is a step where users log their emotions. I will attach a screenshot here. And as you can see, each emotion has a preset amount (which users can set up on their own, to any amount they want), and once the emotion is logged, the preset amount will be automatically transferred to a savings wallet.
I thought I would be able to manage family time and work but so far family takes the win.
Cant take care of both as much as I would like to, but that's okey.

@norteapp Your attention and time are the precious things you can give them :) Enjoythe holiday season :)
Definitely using the holidays for work, in a good way. :)
Working on my portfolio
Writing content and revisiting past projects
validating some of my apps ideas and connecting with developers
Drafting LinkedIn posts
Wrapping up long-pending tasks
Focusing on learning
Finally reading a couple of books that have been on my list for a while

@rashiaroraofficial wow, it seems to be more work than any other "normal work week" :D definitelly not holidays :D
I am going to plan ahead. There is a Google Gemini 3 hackathon. So thinking of ideas.

@davidos366 I missed the event. Is any official announcement for that?
@busmark_w_nika The link is here. https://gemini3.devpost.com/. David Labs is participating. We are just not sure what product we should submit.

@davidos366 Thank you for sharing :)
A bit of both, Honestly. I’ll relax for a few days to reset and clear my head, then spend some time reflecting on what worked, what didn’t, and sketching a loose plan for what I want to improve next.

@sunny_k_s Just out of curiosity and in general: What worked? :D I am collecting the best piece of advice :D
Thanks for open this discussion! I was also thinking about this earlier. On one side, I was thinking that I might be thinking too much and I should be just doing things. One the other side, I think I might need to take some time to really slow down and reflect. But these days, the trickiest thing is to REST the MIND, with so many things and information. Even with traveling, and spending time with friends, I felt like my brain is still working. Wonder whether there is a way to slow it down whenever I want. (My brain do slow down when I caught a cold, but......)

@lea_yi Hopefully, you feel better now. Where did you travel to?
I spent some time building stuff with @Google Antigravity and it is pretty cool how much I can get accomplished :)

@nico I have seen the launch. Will there be a relaunch? :)
@busmark_w_nika Honestly… I didn’t fully switch off completely either.
Most teams are wrapping things up, but we ended up shipping something we’ve had on our minds for a while. On Dec 26 we quietly launched our MCP server!
This means our AI Agent runs perfectly inside Claude, ChatGPT, and any MCP-compatible client.
minimalist phone: creating folders
@glisten_jose was an official launch here, on this platform, as well?
@busmark_w_nika Not yet, the AI Agent is live and public at https://agentberlin.ai. We’re just making a few final tweaks before the major launch, which should be happening very soon as it goes through approval for the ChatGPT App Store.

@glisten_jose Having my fingers crossed for you! :)
