How do you set prices for your product without feeling like an imposter?

by•

Pricing has been the hardest mental barrier for me as an indie maker.

When you build something entirely by yourself, you know every flaw, bug, and edge-case in the system. Because of this, charging actual money for it feels intimidating. I find myself constantly underpricing my app—offering generous free tiers or charging just $3/month because I'm afraid people will say, "This isn't worth it." 🙈

Mainstream advice always says "charge more," but when you don't have a sales team or brand authority, raising prices feels like pushing users away.

To other solo founders: How did you overcome the fear of charging real money? How do you figure out the sweet spot between attracting early adopters and actually making a sustainable income?
