How do you keep social media audience feedback from ruining your product priorities?

I got caught up in the build in public hype a few months back. Early on the likes felt great but eventually I noticed I was designing UI choices specifically for screenshots rather than real utility.

It reached a point where preparing the updates took more energy than the actual coding, without making any difference to overall growth. Cutting back on posts helped me regain focus on actual development.
