How much should an AI fitness product remember about the user?

I ve been thinking a lot about the difference between personalization and real adaptation in fitness software.

A profile with age, goal and experience level is useful, but it still treats each workout request almost like a new session.

A more interesting model is longitudinal: remember what the person actually completed, which movements and muscle groups were trained recently, how difficult the exercises felt, what restrictions exist, and how nutrition has looked over the previous days.

Then the next recommendation is based on that history instead of starting from zero.

Where does scope actually get locked — before the contract, or in it?

I launched a booking tool for day-rate freelancers this morning and got a comment I haven't stopped thinking about:

"The friction is never the calendar; it's locking scope and terms before anyone starts working."

Fair challenge. What I built assumes scope is settled by the time a contract goes out signing is the "we already agreed, now make it official" step, not the negotiation.

For those of you who do client work, is that true for you? Is scope usually settled before you'd want anything signed, or is it still moving right up to the signature? And if it's still moving what specifically? Price, deliverables, timeline, revision count?

When Does a Product Become Ready to Launch?

While building my own product, I realised that how difficult it is to decide when something is actually ready to launch.

There always seems to be one more thing to improve.

One more feature that could make the experience better.

One more bug to fix.
