How do you get past the fear of emailing customers about a price hike?

I priced my product super low early on just to get people in, but now server costs and support are eating all my time for basically no profit.
I know i need to raise prices so this stays sustainable, but every time i open a draft email to tell current users i just end up deleting it.
For anyone who actually hit send on a price increase, how did your early users react?

i think the hardest part is actually writing that first email. once it's sent you finally get real feedback instead of worrying about every possible raection.
