Did moving away from Chrome actually fix your daily laptop battery and RAM drain?

by•

I reached my limit today after Chrome hijacked almost all my system memory just to keep around fifteen regular work tabs open.

My machine slows to a crawl even though I’m not doing anything heavy like editing video or running massive apps.

I've been considering making the jump to Arc or Firefox, but I keep wondering if other browsers just trade one problem for another.

For anyone who finally made the switch, did it genuinely solve the heavy RAM drag, or did you just end up facing similar performance issues elsewhere?
