Research, write, and optimize high-quality SEO content in minutes instead of hours. Now updated with an AI Writer, which generates high-converting copy at the click of a button.
Hi Product Hunters!
I’m Matt, part of the founding team at Frase.
The first version of Frase we launched on PH was essentially an intelligent word processor. Our little 5-person startup took all of your incredible feedback and, against very long odds, managed to build the top AI-powered content tool on the market.
But don’t take it from me. We're proud to be the AI Writing category leader on the two biggest review sites:
🥇 G2 Crowd (AI Writing Category leader): https://www.g2.com/products/fras...
🥇 Capterra (Rated best AI tool…period): https://www.capterra.com/p/19795...
⭐THE PROBLEM FRASE SOLVES⭐
For the most part, creating SEO-optimized content kind of sucks. You spend a ton of time clicking around Google to see what your competitors are writing about. Then you endlessly copy and paste research from various sources into a word processor. Then you stare at a blank page for a while as you grapple with writer’s block. And eventually you publish your content and pray that it ranks.
Frase radically improves every step of this experience.
⭐HOW IT WORKS⭐
Frase is an all-in-one tool for content creation. With it, you can streamline and automate three key content workflows:
🔬Research: Analyze your search competitors’ content, curate briefs, and design outlines in minutes instead of hours.
✏️Writing: Power through writer’s block by using AI to help you get a draft on paper.
📈Optimization: Our topic modeling tool helps you design content that will be SEO strong right out of the gate.

Thanks a lot for this, going to try and recommend to our copywriter! It's really can be a pain writing such optimized copy!
@matt_hurley Congratulations to you & team. This will make our life easier...indeed a great idea💡

@matt_hurley Frase is the best AI-powered writing tool. I have tested 20+ AI writing tools in the last 2 years. Nothing comes close to Frase.
The step-by-step process where
- Frase summarizes the SERP results so you can create the outline
- you write the content with AI assist if you want
- optimizing the article with Frase optimizer
is wonderful.
I have written dozens of articles with Frase and most are on page 1 of Google search.

@matt_hurley we absolutely LOVE Frase - its an essential part of our SEO tool set.

Frase is mind blowing, and no, I'm not making that up. I've been a Frase user from the start I am constantly amazed at the pace of development. But who cares about development speed if the tool isn't useful. Let me put it this way, if there was only 1 SEO + AI tool I could use, it would be Frase.
If you want to see the absolute bonkers power of Frase, watch my video below where I make a 600 word blog post (that would actually rank) in 60 seconds. It's insane.

@matt_zimmerman Mind blowing, what a compliment! I'm so glad that if you had to pick only one tool to use, Frase would be it. Quite a vote of confidence :)
@eeri2@aleksi_halsas1 Would love to hear what you think! Though I should mention that Frase does not use GPT-3. And only a small part of our platform uses a language model similar to GPT-3, the rest is all home-grown AI tech that we've developed over 5ish years.
Report
@eeri2@matt_hurley Hmm interesting, havent heard about you before. Do you have any comparison of GPT-3 based AI versus your AI and how do they compare on different content forms?
Have been trying out too many softwares in the space to be honest, so just wondering where I would get best info to consider if to try it out or not :)?

A solid tool for research and content briefs. The owners and support team seem to be dedicated to continuous improvement and quality.
Have been using Frase since the very beginning of their start. I love it and it is still my go-to piece of content tech that I use every single day. The best part of Frase is a helpful community and makers who listen in order to keep improving the product.
@sayali_bedekar Thanks for your continued support, we really appreciate it. And yes our community is pretty awesome, isn't it? :)

I've been using Frase 2.0 now for the past few weeks to help our customers write and research better courses. @matt_hurley , @tommy_ai and the rest of the Frase 2.0 team has provided a tool that my team and I are still finding new ways to use day after day. Try it. Get your mind blown... and remember that YOU are the writer... but Frase helps you to plan and write better!
@sbadaoui Thank you! We're really happy to be here.

I've been using Frase since it launched pretty much and it is of great help. It not only helps you write content that search engines would like but actual readers as well. It analyses topics in-depth and provides you with a lot of ideas and questions to answer. In addition to that, you can quickly see how the competition is doing, what they cover, what they are lacking and capitalize on their mistakes.
@janny_ Love this. Sounds like you are particularly fond of the Topic Heatmap? Which other features do you find particularly valuable?
Report
@matt_hurley yes, the topic heatmap is super useful, although the UI could use some work :D Content briefs aside, I like the way Frase clusters keywords under Topics together. This makes it so much easier to write structured content and keep relevant words in their own paragraphs for the most part instead of just writing them in whenever and wherever you can. Google doesn't read, as far as I know, entire pages - they do paragraphs/parts of the page. If you write about Car Engines, it's great to have all (or most) of the relative terms to use under that, before you move on to transmission unit for example.
Makes me sad I didn't go into the lifetime/early adopt price for the SEO addon as at the time I had no use for it (use other tools like ahrefs/semrush), but now it comes with a good AI writer as well.
@janny_ totally agree about Topic Clusters, one of the most under-appreciated features in my opinion.

Hi, I'm Pretty new in this scene. But just the opening comment got me going wild for Frase. Looks simple and delivers a solution to a real world problem. Great to see you guys here and wish you the best for future.
We're big fans of Frase.AI for well over a year now. We use it for both our own website and for customers of our Agency. We have simple but effective workflow in frase.ai: research topics -> create SEO oriented drafts -> manage work of internal and external copywriters -> publish content and enjoy results :).
AI writing functionality is also invaluable and helps to create precise, quality content in short span of time.
Additionally, you can easily share and manage documents with your team and multiple external writers without forcing them to create an account, which makes it a breeze to work even with dozens of copywriters.
The only 2 things which would make it perfect are:
1) To make it possible to add own keywords to "Optimize" section. We often want to not only match, but to exceed the level of content which already is available in SERPs. To achieve that, such option is a must and would be much appreciated.
2) Blacklisting keywords on both account and project level would be helpful and save quite some time.
Overall amazing tool used by us on regular basis with great pace of improvements and iterations. Keep up the incredible job. Fingers crossed for 2 improvements mentioned above! <3
@lukasz_lot thanks for leaving such a thoughtful comment. Blacklisting keywords on the account level is a very interesting idea...reminds me of account level negative keywords on Google Adwords. I'll put it on the list :)
Report
@matt_hurley you are very welcome. Thank you for putting it on the list. What do you think about being able to add own keywords to "Optimize" section?
I guess that might not be easiest thing to implement, but the value would be tremendous - in our case we would take advantage of such option in ~every second article where we add unique aspects which are not covered by competitors or where competitors are not that strong.
@lukasz_lot I seem to remember that being talked about internally, so that very well may happen. My only concern is mostly around user error, where people add their own keywords which are off topic and don't help them rank better on the SERP.
Report
@matt_hurley sure thing, definitely sounds like a reasonable concern. That's why we would also suggest solution which would make such distinction screenshot: https://d.pr/i/ZMK9eZ . It would empower those who know how to do additional keyword research and it wouldn't impact those who just want to optimize in a standard way. At the same time, your UI would still remain perfectly clear for user :).
