This is a productivity app that I was so hooked on and I was involved in the beta test from the beginning. I just love this app so much and I already had hundreds of sessions from this app. This app was useful from the start, and it continued to improve throughout the best testing period, so can you imagine how good this app is when V1.0 released? I can't explain in words how useful this app was for me. I have long hours at work and work is gruesome, but I think the main reason why I was burnt out was because of how I worked. This app has corrected my work habit. It prevents me from working a few hours straight by managing my work time to smaller chunks and giving me refreshing breaks in between. As a result of using this app, I am more productive and not burned out. This has been a trend for me recently and I can't thank this app and Mike enough. Download this! You won't regret it!
@james_ryu1 Thank you so much for taking the punt on the app back in the Closed Beta period, James. You've given the product so much value early on.
I remember you sharing that you used to work a few hours in a row, and then have a short break in between, then another few hr sprint, and felt burnt out every evening.
Super glad the app has encouraged you to take care of this habit, by allowing you to create your own structure, and turn your productive efforts into something sustainable. β€οΈ
I've used Focused Work for a while now (beta tester) and it really helps me to balance my work-break balance, as I tend to make too little rests while working on a task.
Also the feeling of starting the timer and selecting my focus each time brings me really into the zone of getting things done.
@anika_seibezeder Thank you for giving the app a shot and participating in the beta stage, Anika! I've really appreciated your feedback π
Taking long enough breaks between periods of work is super important to keep your creativity flowing, so it's awesome to hear the app encourages you to get in the zone!
FocusedWork app is really helping me managing large tasks at work as a subset of small, time-boxed tasks. Simplicity and speed of setting up work sessions is the key that makes this app work great for me. I will definitely advise FocusedWork for use whenever there's a need to keep focus and concentrate, especially when there are tight deadlines. I am really looking forward to the macOS version of the app!
@r_alikhamov Thanks Ruslan! Keeping the UI/UX simple to use was a core tenant of the experience I wanted to share.
Jump in the app, pick your session, define your focus, and get started on the task!
I'm really happy to hear the app is providing great value for you; keen to add macOS support sometime soon! βοΈ
I have been using the beta and I will highly recommend this app to anyone looking to do focused work. Simple pomodoro timers are simply not nuanced enough for most workflows. Focused Work is extremely simple and very powerful. Lots of value here.
@ku1deep Thanks for giving the app a shot in the beta testing stage, Kuldeep! π
I agree with the pomodoro sentiment - 25 mins is not enough, especially if you're a developer, or a content writer.
It was part of the inspiration for me to find a middle ground with a structured workflow, that allowed me to frequently reach a deep focus state.
A while ago I had a productivity timer sized hole in my digital toolbox that I couldn't find a good app for. I actually decided to make my own and got far enough to build a very simple prototype. Then I somehow discovered Focused Work on Twitter and I've never been happier (or quicker) to drop a side project π I've been a beta tester for a while an I'm very excited for both the launch as well as what's coming up next in the pipeline. Good luck @teeeeeegz
@hkaju Thanks Hendrik, I'm really excited to grow the product and make it even more awesome π
But don't let that stop you from creating your own side project! Everybody works differently, and has their own take on what makes a great productivity tool.
Appreciate the support so far. π
