I used to love learning Spanish on Duolingo, until they added the whole competition aspect to it. There's no better way to burn out while learning a language than by being pitted against an eleven year old with too much time on their hands.
Fluent - in stark contrast - takes the stressful part out of learning a language the Duolingo way and pits you against yourself. Add that to not having to cross the treshold of having to open a separate app or a dedicated website, and you've got yourself the killer combo that is Fluent.
Another added benefit is that Fluent translates words on the websites you're on anyway, so you learn words that you would encounter in conversations about things you're interested in, as opposed to repeating "the turtle eats an apple" a million times.
With all this, plus the responsiveness of the Fluent support team (Ara) and development team (Yaniv), who needs Duolingo anyway?
Keep up the great work!

LOVE this extension. I’ve expanded my French vocabulary in no time. What makes this so seamless is seeing words translated in context on the browser combined with their spaced repetition algorithm. Absolutely recommend trying it out!

Love the idea and I am quite excited to use it. :) Hopefully more languages will follow soon!

It's always a problem for me to find an effective way to learn a new language. The Internet is a good way to practice your knowledge. But I took offline courses to learn Portuguese. By interacting with the teacher, I feel more substantial productivity and efficiency. I remember that in every class, they gave us dictionaries. We used them to translate texts and compose dialogues. As far as I know, they ordered them from https://www.amazon.com/Dutch-Fre....
