Hi everyone!

This is the (real) Figma MCP we've all been waiting for ;) Unlike the previous version that relied on a local server in Dev Mode, it now supports remote access. This is a big deal because it means you can bring live design context—components, layouts, interactions—directly from Figma into your IDE or AI agent, like , , or .

It also now works with Figma Make files, so AI can see the underlying code of a prototype instead of just an image. And the new in-app mapping for Code Connect makes linking design to production code much easier.

p.s. A designer on my team tried and said: "Okay, we have to get serious about our Figma naming conventions now:))"

Cuz it's the difference between the AI building it in one go versus a painful debug loop. We need to keep our design files clean so the agent's tokens are spent on the actual logic, not figuring out our layers (lol).

 This is huge, Zac. Remote access and Figma make support are real game changers. Not to mention the integration. Great Launch, great name, for sure.

Finally, long-awaited, official Figma-MCP integration!

Finally tried MCP and the remote access update is a real shift. Pulling design context into the IDE is saving me from endless tab-switching chaos, super clean execution.

As a UX designer, Figma's already in my daily workflow, but the MCP server is what finally made it feel AI-native. I can point my AI agent straight at my Figma files, pull the actual design, and turn a prototype into a working demo without manually re-describing every layer. The remote access matters more than I expected: my design context just travels with me into the IDE instead of getting lost in translation. Still early days, and the paid tier is worth factoring in, but for anyone working across design and code this closes a gap I've felt for a long time.
