We’ve been building teaBOT in Canada for over a year and we’re thrilled to launch in California with the help of . teaBOT is a robotic kiosk that makes customized cups of grab-and-go tea. The machine is live in Palo Alto and a second will be lauching in San Francisco! We have more arriving in Toronto in September and our mobile app is in private beta - coming soon! teaBOT is in the S15 batch of Y Combinator. We have one in the office and I'm addicted to my custom gunpowder + peppermint tea blend. They're live at Coupa Cafe in Palo Alto if you'd like to check one out.

I tried the TeaBot two weeks ago at one of the coffee shops and absolutely loved it. As a heavy tea drinker (who is also a picky tea drinker), the pre-mixed blends of teas are delicious.
Add milk, ice and topioca and make bubble tea robot!
this could actually be a killer machine in Cupertino!

How is this different from the Robotic Tea Machine I saw at Samovar?

we haven't really seen the one at Samovar, that's so cool! We will make sure to stop in next time we're nearby. I can however speak to the focus of our technology, which is to allow users to quickly and conveniently blend a grab-and-go cup of tea. You can mix the teas however you want and its automated! The plan is to place our machines in a bunch of locations that you wouldn't typically think to spot a tea store! Hope that helps.
Would love to see TeaBOT side by side with a machine. (Also, Poursteady is now in the Chelsea location of Cafe Grumpy in NYC!, so definitely could see these two together!)
