We’ve been building teaBOT in Canada for over a year and we’re thrilled to launch in California with the help of @ycombinator. teaBOT is a robotic kiosk that makes customized cups of grab-and-go tea. The machine is live @CoupaCafe in Palo Alto and a second will be lauching @WorkshopCafe in San Francisco! I tried the TeaBot two weeks ago at one of the coffee shops and absolutely loved it. As a heavy tea drinker (who is also a picky tea drinker), the pre-mixed blends of teas are delicious.
@jsinghdreams we haven't really seen the one at Samovar, that's so cool! We will make sure to stop in next time we're nearby. I can however speak to the focus of our technology, which is to allow users to quickly and conveniently blend a grab-and-go cup of tea. You can mix the teas however you want and its automated! The plan is to place our machines in a bunch of locations that you wouldn't typically think to spot a tea store! Hope that helps.
