Reminds me of this:
För Regerson
@joshuapinter Hell yes, the fsn "fusion" file manager on SGI/IRIX and was ahead of it's time.
((-_-))
will future updates allow the addition of files in the right tree pane? thanks
För Regerson
@eyekayu Yes, it was one of the first requests from alpha testers. Beyond that in future also app launcher icons/nodes can be added to views. So for example in a view for a graphic project a designer might add app icons for Photoshop and Sketch. A file can then be dragged on that icon to open the file in the app or launch the app via double click.
För Regerson
Thanks :) Do you mean more nodes in the graph? To add nodes you can drag any folder from the left pane or the bread crump into the graph. To add more views right click on an empty space and select "Add new node view". A quick overview on that can be found in the docs https://cryonet.io/docs/

This is super slick, love the idea. Refreshing to see someone trying to innovate file management in 2020 👏

@trevin Indeed. This is rather unexpected. I hope Cryo gains enough features so that I can keep using it as my daily driver. Loving the graph approach. And the platform support. And QT.
För Regerson
@trevin @chrisfr Thanks :) I'd like to add most useful and common features needed to get work done on a daily base. With the focus on increased productivity for average use cases without requiring a steep learning curve or providing dozens of fancy features the majority never uses.

love it any way to customize the right pane with additional folders?

@eyekayu oh I hit the wrong button, the below comment was supposed to be a reply.

Wow, awesome. I especially like the visualization. As an Arch Linux user it would be nice if Tor could be an optional dependency (in the AUR package) ;) Ah and on my test VM i had some missing QT dependencies.
För Regerson
@yves_hoppe Thanks, Arch Linux is my main development system :) Yes indeed the AUR package needs more improvements for the dependencies and also build against latest Qt 5.15 which is already available in the main repos, currently 5.14.2 is packaged which isn't needed on Arch.

I like it!

Have you heard of the Zettelkasten method? It's a way of taking and organizing notes that's unique because it's non-hierarchical. Structurally, it's similar to a wiki because every note can link to any number of other notes, so it "looks" more like a web than a tree. Here's a better intro: https://writingcooperative.com/z... The reason I bring it up is because I think the Zettelkasten community might be VERY interested to see Cryo because of the graph view. It's not quite Zettelkasten-friendly yet, but I see the potential and think that the rest of the community would too. So, perhaps you should talk to them? They might have some good ideas for you since they've already trained their brains to think in a web-like way and store their files accordingly. And if you listen to them and adopt some of their requests to make Cryo more Zettelkasten-friendly, then I could see them becoming loyal evangelists for Cryo. In any case, good luck!

This is bloody amazing! I'm in love :)
